OlegKuznetsov 10,816
They may well be liquidated and they do have issues over the assets, most notably Tynecastle, but if they go newco quickly enough and convince the SFA and SPFL that they can start and complete next season, they can continue as a newco of the old club if the SFA membership is transferred. Johnny Hubbard 280
it is very possible that the actual ground the stadiun stands on is worth more with tynecastle knocked down to build flats.Tom English was saying that the school next to Tynecastle which has land about two thirds the size of Tyncastle was sold last week for £650,000. That's why he reckond Tyncastle is only worth about £1 million. So the Lithuanians will go for the money FOH are offering which is much more. Was it a state entity to state entity or PFI/PPP partner sale? Then you have to look at planning permission. If permission were to be granted for residential and commercial purposes, the value would be distinctly greater than that of a similar plot used for a state school. Mollins 5
My point was, we were in a much stronger position to deal with Admin that Hearts, we had so much in our favour... It's the end for the Jambo's

77tour 0
If you owned 50% of bust company but owned the huge asset of stadia would you 1. accept the FOH 2.5 million and get the scraps that entail or 2. Let them liquidate and form new co then rent out the stadium to the new co for an indefinite period ? Is it that simple or what!
Robespierre 589
Billy King, Callum Paterson, Scott Robinson, Brad McKay, Sam Nicholson and Jason Holt, all real prospects. We should be looking at signing at least two of these guys for next year.Dale Carrick could be a handy backup striker as well.

OlegKuznetsov 10,816
the land wasn't sold for another schoolThere's a blast zone around the site (where have you heard that before !)What was that land sold for in terms of purpose? Housing? Commercial?Looking at the satellite images, that land is much nearer to the Western Approach Road and mainline railway lines. It is also much nearer the uglier parts of the brewery and the adjacent wasteland. It may be more attractive for those reasons.
Gers1690 194
After the way they treated us I'd love them to cease to exist but personally I think somehow, someway they will wriggle out of it and live another day.
Gers1690 194
In the long run this will massively hurt Hibs too - their fans turn out for the Edinburgh derby then quickly disappear the following week. Even against Celtic they're used to crowds of only about 12k while 16k-20k for Hearts and considerably less for any other club visiting that Edinburgh dump. Nemesis 277
The school went for 600k so there shiteheap will go for approx £1.1m in relative terms. The Lithuanians will take the deal. The old Fruit Market has been on market for yonks and is superior in every way but hasn't been bought. That won't have escaped their notice.Hearts will survive but they will be a footballing paraplegic for some considerable time.
