6superbarry6 14,159
How about a realistic team to get us breaking even.....BellWallace MohsniFaureFosterHuttonMcLeod TempletonMckayAirdLittle (tends to score when through the middle)Subs -Gallagher gkSmith left sideMcculloch utility dmid or c/halfGasparato ( gets a minimum of last 20mins every game in his natural position ) ( also allows fairer to cover right back in injury)Crawford amidGallagher amid or striker ( gets 20 mims minimum every game)Clark ( rotates with little to keep both on their toes)Let's us lose black -should have been sacked for betting against us anyway and doesn't stand out way he shouldLaw - has been off his game since September. And McLeod has been moved out of position to accommodate himSheils - less than ten good games since signingCribari - never had a chance this season so we don't need him. Daly - about as mobile as an oak tree and the long ball game is seriously holding us backSimonsen - experienced back up - I give u uniteds third goal - Gallagher would have done no worseHegarty / perry not been missed so not required. I reckon that would be around 35k a week off the wage bill. That's 1.8 million a season savedWhile I'm at it. Why do we need a reserve / under 20 coach in durie? We already have three coaches in mccoist McDowell and Durrant. Surely one or all of then could take the younger players and then know who is ready to be tried a level up. Persuade Jig to retire save another 10k a week plus Durie would be last coach I would lose Durrant first surely

I was more meaning do we need as many coachesI've always thought we should go director of football. First team coach. Assistant coaches. Scouts. And maybe a bit sentimental. But I think McCulloch should be kept around the place. Coaching. Letting youngsters know what's expected.

legalbeagle 3,734
me or you could be the top goalscorers in this division with the team we've got compared to the rest. But we aren't, and nobody else is...just this pair.
legalbeagle 3,734
You are either blind or stupid.Daly has been chronic for months now, he isn't scoring and offers fuck all to the team.Jig is slow and his goals come from penalties, wow what an achievement. Both players are offering hee haw and still our dud of a manager plays them every week despite a young prospect showing more in his 20 odd minute cameo role than they have for months.Of course McCoist won't do the normal thing and drop out of form and useless players because they would take the huff and super ally needs his wee pals after all.Pathetic.Blind or stupid for stating an objective fact? Cool.
Figo 91
If Daly and Jig stays I dont think we need Clark AND Little, two younger players who dont have the razor edge that a Boyd or McCoist did.One or the other for me. Personally I'd like to see Jig offer to retire, get himself into coaching.Daly is a better CB than Jig. I'd like to see another CB with experience brought in and then have a rotation system in place. As much as Law has declined there is a player in him and if we keep him till prem we are going to get a good wedge for him.Same with Black. IMO he has been great this season - even more so when he was stripped of free kick duty and that was given to smith. Personally I'd like to see Boyd back. but only if he was partnered with a Clark or Little.I dont see a future here for Sheils or Hutton unfortunately with the team we have although I know getting rid of hutton will be a regret as pre injury he was absolutely solid.Aird / Galacher needs to have 90 mins on rotation not just 20 mins cameos.Stevie smith and Foster are on pennies compared to Black so I would be more than happy for them to stay. Regardless of what folks say they will cope in the Champ. Simonsen and Cribari leave with my thanks.
