The Educator 1,572
It's to do with offering deals. Hearts are entitled to a development fee for Holt because they offered him a deal to stay.Did they, or are they saying they did? Has the player made any comment? DMax399 4,030
I don't mind a fee being required if the player is worth it.
Kai_Johansen 978
That's cutting off your nose to spite your face mate. Not really, I just think in our current situation there is far better ways to spend 200K
Dickie1963 2,407
I don't dispute the payment of a development fee, what I find strange is the comments made by Levien before any decision has been taken to sign him or not!If there's a fee of 200k then I doubt he will be playing at Ibrox! To be fair Leveins comments were fine.In answer to a question he made the point that Hearts would be due a Development fee and no mention of the amount. Also commented that he hoped Holt would be back playing football soon.
WilliamCahill91 103
Hearts are more than entitled to a fee for the guy. After all, they helped develop him and this rule has been in place for years. We'd be singing from the same hymn sheet if it was us. Just like we were regarding Charlie Telfer. But I think £200k might be a bit steep. I'd personally take it to a tribunal. bluesteel 218
Of course he would be. Why would they just let £200k go?CL is on record saying they wouldn't be hard to deal with, take from that what you will
