A profile of both men.Dugald MacKenzieDIED 1ST APRIL 1924 AGED 73Vice President — 1890/91President — 1891/92 - 1895/96Director — 1900/01 - 1905/06Dugald became President in 1891 and retained the honourable position until 1896. He also became a director in 1900 and was there till 1905. Dugald was also the President of the SFA and the Scottish Amateur Athletic Union.When cycle racing was at its zenith in the 1890s Dugald often travelled to bring the most famous cyclists of the day to the Rangers Sports.Dugald was the president of the club when we first won the Scottish cup in 1894.As a life member he was presented with a gold badge in 1896 for his work with the club.Alex Bryce MacKenzieDIED 10TH DEC 1915 AGED 52Player — 1882/83 - 1891/92Director — 1899/00 - 1910/11Also buried in this plot is Dugald's younger brother Alex Bryce MacKenzie. Most reports referred to him as A B MacKenzieAlex played in every position and was known as ‘the handyman’Although he perhaps wasn’t a great player he must have had something as playing for ten years in the 1880s was quite an achievement.Alex was also involved in various committees when finished playing.He was also a director for 10 years.
