Bazza 21
drinks together wins together was the famous motto. How easy do you think it will be for Walter and Ally to implement a similar attitude among the players of today and bring the whole group together as a unit?Just wondered after seeing thishttp://www.<No links to this website>/sport/footbal...-name_page.html
J_RFC87 766
The modern game (21st Cent) wouldn't allow it and would we caught out easily. However I do agree that a good team spirit of the park helps on the park.
Briton 394
The modern game (21st Cent) wouldn't allow it and would we caught out easily. However I do agree that a good team spirit of the park helps on the park.Obviously team spirit is important but I can't believe people still extol this 'drink together' thing. As you said there's no place for that in modern sport. We may have got away with it in 1990's Scotland (not Europe), when the opposition was shite, and probably just as pish soaked as we were...maybe we should have a new saying...'dine together, win together'...got to admit, it doesn't have the same ring to it. rangersross 6,726
Well there's no room for a whole team drinking together at this time, but they should be taking the team out for dinner to help create a better team atmosphere
