QPR would be joint top if you add all there owners together.

Technically they are the richest club in the world

It's all about the backing that these clubs will actually get from their owners.

I reckoon the QPR guys are only in it for the qudos of owning a club - I can't ever see them being any sort of major force - despite the billions behind them

I'm surprised murray's worth that much in the current climate, you'd think he could spare a bit more cash!

Imagine if any of us had that sort of money: "25 million overdraft? no bother, here you go"

Time for a change, the mint needs to move on

What's all this 'richest club' stuff? Just because Man City, QPR or whoever have super wealthy owners does not mean the club it'self is 'rich'.

People don't seem to underdstand that basic fact. Rangers is a PLC and Murray can't just put his own money in... unless it's a new share offer or the like.

Well I'm not sure about the relevence of being a PLC but the fact is that Man City or QPR are not rich clubs. Yes, their super rich owners may deem to throw money at them on a whim, but that is a totally different thing.

Of course that work's both ways. For example, the Russian spiv could throw a wobbly and leave Chelsea deep in the shit just because he feels like it.

Trouble with that list is that falls in the value of an individual's stock options (Abramovich) are already taken into account but repricing on real estate is not.

The majority of SDM's worth is in commercial real estate which has taken a pounding in the UK.
