You'd wake up in the wee hours of the morning just to get 5 minutes of a broadcast or 30 seconds of a report if the game was not being broadcast. It was normal procedure for the worldwide bbc shortwave station to change their location on the band or cut off completely, invariably at the most critical times, and you'd have to dial through the bands to find the new one. No live broadcasts from games, usually because the guys are at the games as fans. Where possible there is a pre-match and post match show usually for about an hour each.
