Boab 73
Beas Facing 3 Weeks OutFrom Lindsay Herron in HollandAMERICAN star DaMarcus Beasley is facing three weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury which means he will miss Rangers' vital Champions League qualifying tie against either Kaunas or Santa Coloma.Beasley, who missed six months last season with a serious knee injury, did the damage in last night's 1-0 friendly win over SC Preussen Munster. The former PSV star was a key man in the qualifiers last season scoring away against Zeta and playing his part in Belgrade but it looks like Walter Smith will have to do without him. However, the good news is that the inujuries suffered by Kyle Lafferty and Carlos Cuellar are only short term.Andrius Velicka plays for Kaunas in 2000Boss Walter Smith said: "Fortunately there is nothing serious on the injury front. DaMarcus Beasley is the worst of them. It is a hamstring injury so we will be looking at him to be out for a few weeks."Hopefully it is not too long but he will miss the remaining matches here."Kyle hurt is back in training and it went into spasm so we have given him a couple of days off and that should see him alright."We obviously want to see him in the matches so that he can settle inm and we hope he will be ready for the game on Saturday."Carlos has a bit of a calf strain so we were just being careful with him. He could have played at a push on Sunday and it might be the same on Wednesday but Saturday's Schalke game should be fine for him."Meanwhile Andrius Velicka will join up tonight to complete his £1million move from Viking Stavanger. He was an unused sub in Viking's goal-less draw with Stabaek last night and is now on his way to the Dutch training base.Smith added: "We will see how he is. He didn't play in the last couple of games for Viking but that might be that they were making sure he didn't suffer any knocks before coming to join us."We will let him get involved in training this week and then make a decision on whether we use him in the remaining matches here."http://www.rangers.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Ne...1343671,00.html

Muff 245
Beasley seems to be pretty injury prone. He suffered a few injuries at PSV, Manchester City and now at Rangers.
