  1. But this is the football section of a Rangers forum. Why would we bother talking about anything else? I ain't talking on here. I am talking in the press.
  2. They drank some booze. Who gives a shit? Terrorists kill people in NI and this kinda discussion gets more play. Fucking disgusting. Know your real enemies.
  3. I just banned a guy named backinblue
  4. I really could give two shits about people drinking to be honest. But, I suppose that most people view it as scandalous
  5. Just a little something I threw together to bring on debate: http://home.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php/a...re-you-seriousq ------------------ Well, what a day it has been in the history of Rangers FC. When I woke up this morning to head off to work, I wasn't prepared to read that Barry Ferguson and Alan McGregor had been dismissed from the team and David Weir was to be team captain. Here we are staring that right in the face. I am not quite sure what the overall outcome is for the team which in many ways is what we should be concentrating on here. The response by Rangers FC to this situation is something which most support. The actions of the above mentioned individuals isn't condoned nor should it ever be. I can hear those out there that are strong advocates of personal privacy and the right to live as one sees fit, but, in this case there needs to be some bounds. When it comes to life decisions, this was a bad one. Was it bad enough for the crime, I don't really know the exact extent of it. How much did the drink? Were they out of their heads? I mainly, like most, just get what the media spoonfeeds me. We have no other way to judge things. Most people I have discussed the situation with seem to think so though, which is somewhat trustworthy since we know who's side the writers are normally on. Moving on though, Rangers FC has been in a rut for the past four seasons of not doing much that the fans support. Negative football, playing Barry Ferguson, playing Boyd...well, you get the picture. Ferguson especially has been targetted in recent months as being somewhat of a lame duck on the park. Many supporters had entirely turned on him already before this incident. That was plain to see. That probably doesn't help his case much. Mix that in with the hand gestures and it is hard to see things ever ironing out. The thing that gets me though is the fact that so many judgements about the future are being thrown around already. The pair are banned from Scotland? http://sport.stv.tv/home/86469-sfa-hand-li...on-and-mcgregor Maybe never going to play for Rangers again? http://sport.stv.tv/home/86478-ferguson-an...at-rangers-over All this while Gary Caldwell seems to think they have a future. Caldwell? Surely not? Well, as he said to STV, "I think people blow things out of proportion and make a massive story out of nothing." So here we are. We have lost our starting goal keeper, our captain, and both have apparently been ousted for life from Scotland duty. Yet, only Gary Caldwell thinks it is blown out of proportion? Are you serious?
  6. I agree that to SELL is the future response. But, taking into account finances, if they never played again this season that wouldn't do the club any favours would it?
  7. http://sport.stv.tv/home/86469-sfa-hand-li...n-and-mcgregor/ Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor will never play for Scotland again after receiving life bans from the Scottish Football Association. A Scottish FA Spokesperson said: "In light of the events of the past 48 hours and following further discussions between the National Team Manager and the Chief Executive, it has been decided that Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor will no longer be considered for International selection by Scotland. "This action has been taken in the best interest of the squad, the fans and the country. We are determined to qualify for the World Cup and we must ensure that nothing is allowed to distract us from achieving this goal." The pair were caught on camera making V-signs to the Tartan Army during the Scotland Iceland match which they were dropped from following their booze session at the Scotland training camp. Ferguson had earlier been stripped of his Rangers captaincy and both players have now been suspended for the maximum two weeks. STV has learned that the pair will not represent the club again. 8. As you can read on the STV website in an article that was just released, there is the perception that the Careers of these two at Rangers are over: http://sport.stv.tv/home/86478-ferguson-an...t-rangers-over/ The only part of this report that is worthwhile is the instance where they have agreed to donate part of their docked salary to charity. Does anyone on here really think that they will never again suit up for Rangers? In my opinion that would be bad financial business on the part of the club.
  9. I don't think there is. Being a citizen of Canada let's me see the crap easier I think. But then again, we keep the likes of George Galloway out.
  10. I hope they are into the whiskey at halftime. Calm the nerves.
  11. I don't care what they think. Drinking when you don't have to play the next day really doesn't matter.
  12. I wish people would shut up about Ferguson. Its ruining every thread I try to read.
  13. They weren't sure whether they could really get Gers fans to bite on the shit and try to lynch their own players.
  14. Sorry, you're comparing a national football team to your basketball team? That's ridiculous. Ok, they play college basketball. Some of the best 19-24 year olds in the country. Who cares. You would expect adults to be able to do what they want moreso. College basketball is the level under the NBA so why would it be ridiculous to compare it to scotland national team at the end of they day they are all sporting proffesionals So basketball players drink in eight hour sessions in the three days between matches? Drink for 8 hour sessions AND sleep with the volleyball team. Get it right. That's unprofessional HAHA, it happened ALL THE TIME though. Maybe it was professional and we are too old to see it
