  1. If he does go the compensation fee Rangers are due from an EPL club is €90,000. I don't see any club paying £500,000 of they don't have to.
  2. Report on last night's 16's game https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2017/03/22/16s-edge-out-morton/
  3. Four players in the initial 17's squad. Jordan Houston, Lewis Mayo, Jack Thomson (withdrew injured), Zak Rudden. All three have been involved in both games. They beat Serbia 1-0 today.

  8. A quick check on the blog and he has scored in both games v Hibs and two penalties against Dundee United. I would agree with The Dude he has been okay without being brilliant. What I would say is that I believe if he had the minutes on the pitch Garner has had he would have scored more goals.
  9. Rangers Development League side is very young and its probably a bit early for these U17 & U18 players. The only players in my opinion, who could break into the first team and have a chance of playing regularly at the moment are Ross McCrorie (on loan at Dumbarton) and at a push Liam Burt. Serge Atakayi had a good half hour as a sub yesterday, he has shown flashes of ability but as yet hasn't really been starting for the U20's, he is still and Under 18 player.

  12. Rangers have intermittently covered these games, which they record for analysis purposes anyway. Where as on one hand they say results don't matter on the other hand they don't like reporting on bad results.
  13. My report on tonight's game https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2017/02/21/20s-edged-out-at-accies/
  14. Pretty sure - 16's is not really an official age group, with four of five regularly playing at 17's there is an informal league for 16's. No points are awarded and there is no compulsion to play all the fixtures, so its really a series of friendlies. Although both Rangers and Celtic are involved in this "league" they haven't played each other.
  15. In the games a couple of months back 13's drew 1-1 14's won 3-0 15's won 5-3 17's lost 3-0 Last night was Glasgow Cup and played as a 15's game
  16. Couldn't make it tonight I was at a concert Its officially an Under 17's tournament, therefore there was no overage players. Owen McGinty is an U16, but plays at 15's most weeks, you are allowed to play three players down n age group across the academy if they are physical at a disadvantage in their own age group' We haven't played them at 16's this season, 15's came from 3-0 down to win 5-3 a few months ago.
  17. Miller has been involved in the majority of Development League games this season
  18. Craig Mulholland, Kenny Miller and David McCallum Graeme Murty was in the stand

  21. I'm not going name players on an open forum, obviously some are better then others, most parents think their boy is one of the better ones. I've already had a parent accusing me of having "favourites" and had abuse via the blog for giving my opinion on an older development squad player. So while I continue to do the blog I stick to providing match reports. Obviously I have my opinions which I share in private conversations, but I think its better to keep my opinion of the younger players off of forums. Anyone can get in to watch the CAS games but you won't find a fixture list anywhere. I can tell you that both the 15's and 17's are at Home to Hearts on Sunday. 15's Kick-Off at 10:00 am (so should make this before heading to Ibrox) 17's Kick-Off at 1:30 pm. Anyone interested can PM me at the end of any week and I should have the fixture details.
  22. Round up of today's Development games against Hamilton Accies https://rfcyouths.wordpress.com/2017/02/05/youth-v-accies-round-up/
  23. Billy Gilmour is a real talent but he is only 15 and is nowhere near ready to play in Rangers first team. At 15 he would not be allowed to play in the first team anyway, he will not be 16 until June so its debatable whether he will ever play in Rangers first team. I do not work for the media side, I'm just a fan that has always taken an interest in the youth sides and as the coverage on the official site was poor I started the blog. The blog is advert free and i have conciously kept it as a "Wordpress Blog", the number of hits I get makes no difference, I do not make a penny from it
  24. Aberdeen also had a young side. Neither side had over age players. we fielded 5 x U19''s, 2 x U18's, 3 x U17's and 1 x U16 Aberdeen were 1 x U20, 6 X U19's, 1 x U18 and 3 x U17's
