Arrived in the Main Stand with my Dad, waited for the coin toss then ran along the centre concourse to the end we were shooting into. Half time, changed ends. The JG management years were brutal.

The ticket section.
Nope, sorry, none there. Any better suggestion?

Any idea where I could get a couple of tickets for the away leg?

Why all the talk about Walter lacking business experience? What about the business he owns that has t/o of 3mil and a paper value of 1.9mil? If such a business was yours, would you consider yourself knowledgable about business? Damn sure I would!

One Ian Redford, There's only one Ian Redford, One Ian Redford
First Cup final in the Rangers end and was gutted we didnae win (even by a penalty) and a missed the fuckin replay tae boot.
Aww...shame that. It was great as well

To younger bears you may ask who and the older bears why, the answer is simple!
When Redford grabbed the ball in the last minute of the 81 cup final i sat and held
my breath he stepped up an missed the kick to win the cup.
My anger soon turned to joy as my old man promised to take us to the replay happy days.
The 1st game was poor probably due to the fact my real hero coops had been dropped?
The coops was reinstated and him and Bobby Russel tore utd to shreds as we hammered
them 4-1, im sure that day that fucker jobby hands had finally croaked it and the bears
belted out the famous chicken supper song.
Happy days for this 10yr old but i owe it all to Mr Redford.
WATP
Sat in the North Stand, also as an impressionable 10 year old. Remember Jim Stewart playing a blinder in goal, and the fans chanting his name. Strangely, recall there being one heck of a thunderstorm late on that night while we were driving home!

He's at Glasgow Airport this morning so looks good!

I'll be there with Cottonrunt, and 4 others including two Ibrox first timers and weans. BF2.

We spent the most because we are the biggest and were the richest in this country, what is the problem?
It is a certainty that we ARE the richest in the country as we have no, or very little debt, unlike the rest of the paupers.

Any finance experts on here - would DK be able to reclaim, from either HMRC or the SA equivalent, his capital losses based on a negligible value claim? If the £20mil is to be believed, then he could be reclaiming approaching £10mil. Now, why was he in Glasgow again?
-
No, because if my business goes down the tubes because of the lack of work this afternoon as I sift through the Walter threads, who's going to come and bail my company out? I suppose Charles Green could seeing as he'll have nothing to do!!!
Well done Dunny. You made my day even with the suggestion this could happen. But I hold you solely responsible for the lack of work this afternoon.

Fucking pisstake then by HMRC well Rangers will survive no matter what these wankers in suits do. NO SURRENDER!
...and us not paying tax isn't a pisstake? Get a grip of yourself.
This meeting will have taken place in order to give the opportunity for Green to revise the numbers for Thursday. Personally, I now doubt he will, and will instead go down an asset purchase route. He is a businessman at the end of the day, and the rewards are likely greater fom him and the other investors going down this route.
Agree though that in one way or another Rangers will survive. And whatever form that takes, we will always be THE Rangers.

Announcement will be made to Stock Ex tomorrow that SDM has sold approx. 51% of his shareholding to UAE based consortium fronted by Ellis in return for a personal payment of 3mil. The club will have it's debt of approx. 23mil paid off and around 7mil made available to WS. Yes, another rumour, but I've managed not to get involved in the nonsense being spouted on here. This info came from a sound, professional source, senior in one of the financial institutions with a vested interest.

Anyone remember the 10-0 -v- Valetta? Remember midway through the 2nd half we started booing every time Rangers got the ball. If I remember right was during a lean spell for us.
-
It was the Inter game from 84 for me too. 3-0 from first leg we just went for it. Im sure it was John Mclellands last game for us. We won 3-1 on the night.
A great night! Think Rummenigge was playing for Inter. But we had Davie Mitchell and John Mclelland (strangely in a striker role).

My first European Night, Copland Rear with my Da.
I remember that night! Had to walk home to Bearsden as it had rained so heavy the U was shut. Took forever...in the p1ssing rain!

Robbie Savage in goals for Derby last night reminded me of this...
I miss hello hello so bad it hurts
also was this pre-establishment?
p.s don't shout at me if repost sorry!
Thanks for the memory! The most incredible comeback and defensive performance I can remember. Roberts was hardly even put under pressure in the 2nd half. Hard to believe it was 23 years ago though!

Sorry I've made a complete arse of that reply. My main point is the part at the bottom
But it doesn't even scratch the surface of Portsmouth's problems. Not to mention the apparent £150mil per year wage bill they currently have!
-
Surely buying Portsmouth just now would offer a better return than Rangers?
How do you figure that out? Which team is guaranteed Champions League football, puts 50,000 bums on seats every other Saturday and will be playing in their relevant countries top division for the forseeable future.

So after reading Sir Walters blab on SSN about wilson and fleck not replying to the contract offers, i was thinking what do you rate of the players? myself i think Wilson has some very good potential(i`m sure some of you remember Jack Wilshere at the Emirates) and could/would be a great long time deal for us if he takes note from weir like he said b4 when he spoke to the mehdia..
So can the 12th Man really make a difference? i think it can
Lets give Wilson a song of his own cos be sure he will be playing in place of boogie for a while(im 100% sure he will give his 110% to the games he does play and make an impact) give him a taste of what Rangers are all about, as much as we slate our players we need them when we have no other options.
so lads its upto you post yer Danny Wilson songs now and lets try and keep him
lets hear them sung at the next games he plays
WE ARE THE PEOPLE WE ARE THE 12TH MAN
and by fook Miller deserves a goal or 6

F****n is a term openly used in the South when talking about the history of Ireland. Why should it be offensive to anyone?
Best Foreign 11 away team, you've seen grace Ibrox
in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom

IIRC he was just back from a pretty serious injury as well and just strolled around the midfield picking out passes for fun. I agree that was probably the best performance I've seen in a game involving us.
