  1. think hes still discussing personal terms...loved how sionko was announced as a sub today...hahaah imo, we should be getting alot more than 90k but honestly, we are better getting shot of him and freeing up wages than have him warming the bench in reserves getting paid a mint
  2. i think it was sung about 12 times, and even the chelsea got in on the act...also a nice who the f%$k are man u came roaring from the broomloan!! voice was a little course after the game, but great atmosphere, no trouble and a fitting ending to the game...oh and smeato was a highlight too
  3. my head was in my hands for the poor lad when he missed that, everyone around me were pissing themselves...he did alright today tho, had a few good touches and held the ball up...made even better by the fact he was being marked by terry
  4. cheers mate, novo goal was quality, great strike! capped off a magic day...
  5. i was in broomloan for view wasnt that good, anyone got a link?
  6. what i dont understand is why we dont give gow a shot on the right. The guy is a big target man, great eye for the pass, silky feet and chips in with a few goals - he is overall a better midfielder than adam, and after todays performance i hope smith gives him a shot. Honestly, i lost count of the amount of times he lost us possession with searching passes for no-one!!! granted, he is good from the set piece and has flashes of class, but overall is performance is not up to scratch..
  7. cant wait, although bit concerned bout trekking it home up paisley rd west after the game considering the rumours kicking about
  8. This is the line up id go for- id really love to see gow start ahead of adam because he is good in the air, can hold up the ball well and can cut defenses with his passes- think his overall game is a little better than adam.Although beasley could do well as he has the pace...
  9. Must be our youngsters that are playing. and probably that donkey sionko as he doesnt look like getting a game...the game may also be a good way for some players who didnt feature against ajax and get some sharpness before the chelsea and qualifers- the likes of novo, gow etc
  10. rangers tv is not too bad, although its major downside is that it is not on on the weekends - so my only chance to see it is when i get home from work and usually the missus controls the telly. Its good because it shows replays of all the games, along with friendlies and reserves action and also has classic matches on most nights...they also have a nightly(or weekly) programme that wraps up the latest news which is good for interviews and the like. What you reckon - i am with sky, should I be calling them to try and get them to match the price that virgin are charging??
  11. it also causes people to lose their balance, so you can imagine the combination of top flight football, exhaustion and an ear infection will cause the most severe reaction in people, that being dizziness, nausea and a damn sore head!
  12. This is ture. And then when we don't get him we will have another 3 months of backlash, much like the backlash we see now with regards to the Scott Brown deal! i keep hearing that smith has back up targets, but i am struggling to think who we could possibly get at that price who is decent? i hope smith doesnt end up selling us short and we end up with no one
  13. still i feel for those fans in uk who cant afford the matches and still cant watch it at the pub or at home- as i said, i am heading to both matches, but alot of my mates cant afford to fork out 30plus pounds for the tickets and glamour friendlies against big euro teams is something that should be pulicised as much as possible to get our great club out to the masses and show the world we are just as good
  14. thats where it counts, and i can guarantee that "team spirit" wont count for hee haw if we are losing.... but i do admit having seen footage and pics, everyone seems to be getting on well...i am glad darche seems to have fitted in well too, i was worried his self proclaimed mood swings would cause a prob but looks like he may be good for barry so that he doesnt own the dressing room
  15. why whittaker? hes a right BACK, very similar to hutton although imo not as good - should we not be going for someone used to playing midfield? daft question, but why would he sign on august 1?
  16. has to be the cl game - it will be a much better atmosphere, and hopefully a few goals scored too...chelsea game will be good but in the end its just a friendly and is meaningless, whereas the first CL game is potentially the most important of the season
  17. No kidding. We should be puttin in a bid for Kaka, no? Why not, since SPL calibre players aren't good enough for Rangers, right? Right? It's the fecking SPL mates. Naismith would be a great addition. agree, would welcome him with open arms, although i still think another attacking midfielder needs to come in - our central midfield as it stands is all too similar and i am worried about our go forward from the middle.
  18. has the potentional to be a 4.4mill player but not at this stage
  19. Regardless if hes the hottest prospect or not, we can all agree he is a great player with plenty to offer and would be a great capture for the team - unfortunately the days are gone of bringing in top euro talent so we need to nuture homegrown players, and this kid knows how to play, knows the ins and outs of the club and the spl, and wouldnt cost the world to get him. I mean my god we would struggle to get a half decent CHAMPIONSHIP player for 1.5-2mill, let alone a young lad who is on the verge of becoming a regular in the international squad and has an impressive goal scoring record all at the tender age of 20
  20. they are both two different types of player - naismith obviously has a few things on his side like age (3yrs younger) and the ability to bag 20 goals a season.
  21. i agree, tremendous talent and has the ability to play wide or straight through the middle - we rely too heavily on boyd to score goals and what better way to take some pressure off boydie than bring in the man who was just behind him in last seasons goal tally...
  22. i think the hype is justified - he is without a doubt the best scottish prospect for quite a while and its important for gers and the fans alike to get a player like him, not only for his ability, but also his potential - like i say, the hype is surrounding the fee, not the player himself, and quite frankly we have come out looking like fools because to haggle over a couple of hundred grand when we apparently put forward 4.5mill for faubert is making us look pathetic.
  23. considering the market today, i dont think it is unreasonable to pay 1.5-2mill. We have to understand that the greediness of the premiership has driven up the prices throughout the world and we have to keep up to some degree - the only way of progressing is to shell out money to bring in fresh talent. Naismith is a diehard supporter, a two time young player of the year, and the leagues second highest scorer, a cpl of top flight seasons under his belt, all at the tender age of 20. It doesnt take a genius to figure out that he has a big future and not only would he be an investment in terms of adding quality to the team, he could also be seen as an ecomonic investment because I have no doubt that with continued progression and experience he will be worth a helluva lot more than 1.5mill in 3 or 4 seasons
  24. i checked the setanta site here in Britain and the ajax or chelsea games are on their website as being shown live. I checked the tv guide on sky and its not listed on the tues or the sat - i know their a replays on rangers tv...maybe their is live feed outside of UK
