  1. Agreed. Would free up some money to bring in another CH. How much would we get for him?
  2. In the days following the OF game i have noticed a remarkable rise in the amount of people who feel that Alan McGregor should be dropped for Stefan Klos after his blunder at the weekend. I, for one, cannot understand this. Why should we drop a lad who has saved us on so many occasions this season for a guy who hasn't played for us in almost a year? No disrespect to Stefan, he has been great for us over the years but he is nearing retirement and McGregor is the firstchoice keeper and rightly so. Fans who are against this must forget his saves in Auxerre, Molde and against various SPL clubs this season. Even the save from MacGeady on Sunday to keep us in the game. Am i wrong to say that McGregor should be playing in goals and that he is allowed one mistake seeing as he has made so many vital saves over the past half-season?
  3. And there is a reason for this. Eck was the first Gers manager in living memory who had to build a squad on Bosmans and small-fee players. And we all know that this market is unpredictable. There is always going to be a mix of good and bad players and that was clear with Eck. Remember, for every Capucho and Emerson there was a Prso or Boumsong. For every Ostenstaad there was a Novo. That is the nature of this end of the transfer market and that is why there was so many duds. It wasn't Eck's fault that he came to the helm at a time where we were downsizing and trying to write off the debts generated by the previous manager. Taking this into account he still did a pretty decent job by getting more trophies than Saint Martin didn't he? Give the guy a break.
  4. Gave us some great memories with such a little amount compared to Wee Dick. A cracking manager but also a cracking guy. Nobody wil ever forget Lovenkrands' last minute winner at Hampden or Helicopter Sunday. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES, ECK!!!
  5. To Dado: Dado, what is it like for you to walk out at Ibrox for a big match and how do you prepare before-hand?
  6. Sorry mate i just seen the blue writing and thought of young Tully. I will know better next time. I am now going to sit in the corner.
  7. I like that he seems to be very un-interested in money which would be great over here. If he snubbed Milan and Vilareal then i don't see it happening though. Why would he turn down the chance to go to one of the best teams in his country to go abroad and play for an inferior footballing side in Rangers? Although stranger things have happened.
  8. Very good player but can we afford him? Don't see Livorno letting him go for anything less than 3-4 Million. Is there any truth to this rumour? Where did you get it from Tully?
  9. I know. Get a grip. Minstral, you are aware that Protestants do believe in God? Or are you just a Protestant when it comes to some situations and and Atheist in others? Saying you are a Protestant after some of the things you have just said is completely hypocritical. And seeing as you are trying to make a fool of me by saying things like "when god phones you give me a call" i will say againt that i don't believe in God and i don't believe in Religion but like i said earlier, i wil not belittle someone for their religious beliefs. That is not right, mate. You need to get a grip and think about what you are saying.
  10. Mate, that is your oppinion and you are more than entitled to it. I actually agree with most of what you say but you shouldn't belittle someone for not thinking the same way as you. That is how wars start and how bigotry is formed. You just slagged of everyone who believes in a God and that in itself is not acceptable. There is no proof of their being a God but there is no proof against it so until there is you cannot say things like that. You say that you are neutral but the way you talk you seem very bigoted towards people who follow a religion. Many people would think that your idea of there being no creator is pathetic aswell but most of them would have the decency not to hold it against you. You should do the same.
  11. Why should it have to be that way though? Why can't people accept one anothers religion? That is all that i am getting at.
  12. If the flute is imaginary then fair enough. If that is his way of showing his religion then it should be allowed providing he doesn't just do it infront of Celtic fans. I was not specifically talking about you but everybody who decided to shout at Boruc for blessing himself. I don't understand why people get so enraged by this. As i said, i find it sad that people do. Gladly. If you are still someone who is bothered ny another human being expressing his religion then imo that is living in the past with a primitive mindset. We are not going to agree on this matter mate, and i have said my piece. So feel free to slate me for it but unfortuantely if i don't get off this bloody website soon i am going to be late for work. It is just addictive.
  13. It isn't funny it is sad. Sad that because some people cannot live together with people of a different religion the only way to stop it is remove it completely from football. People from the days of the crusades would come back today and be able to say nothings changed with regards to religion. That is the sad aspect of life today that people still cannot live with people from another religion without treating them differently.
  14. Saying this is just pathetic. There is no way he is going to get a photograph on the park unless it is printed on his vest, underneath his shirt. If that was to happen i would have no grudge against it as that is his belief and there is no law against him showing it. Whether the SFA and Police would agree with meis another matter. They could interprit it as inciting a riot if done infront of the Tic fans but if he did it after every half like Boruc then there is nothing they can do about it. Is that a reasonable answer to you?
  15. Couldn't have been Lennon. Even a prostitute wouldn't be desperate enough to get into a car with that ugly bassa.
  16. He did because it got a huge cheer ferom the Celtic end.
  17. I think there are two of them. One that constantly shouts SEEEEBBOOOOOO, and the one i was referring too. Wonder if the banner will be on Scotspsrt tonight? Although in saying that the pre-match pictures will probably be all Celtic fans as usual. At least there is no YNWA this time as they forgot to sing it.
  18. Didn't get that far down the page so i will answer it now. What would happen? For a start he would have his flute confiscated because you are not allowed anything of the sort on a football pitch. Then he would probably be sent off for having it on in the first place. The OO is not the Prostestant Religion though and the Flute is not a Protestant symbol. There is no actual hand gesture (like blessing yourself) associated with the Protestant religion but i am sure that if there was then it would be treated the same as the Catholic one as anything less would be bigotted. How can you not see that victimising someone for showing their religion is bigotted? It is not the way i want the club i love to be portrayed. I don't agree with any religion but am not an aetheist as i have said before, Manticore. I want to see religion banned from all football grounds wether it be the players or the fans. But as there are no laws preventing showing your religion on a football field then i will respect that. There are, however, laws which prohibit victimising someone for their religion and that is why i see this as bigotted. Sorry if it is not what you expect to hear from a Rangers fan but this is the 21st century, not the 17th so stop living in the past and join the real world. We have moved on from Religious bigotry here.
  19. Certainly did. It was the Sammy Cox one aswell so it almost took up half of the Enclosure. I like the banter we get with the Police in our section. Although it can sometimes get a bit OTT, generally it is light-hearted. It is good when there are alot of comedians around. Do you sit anywhere near the guy that bursts out with "Rangers 'till i die" and continues until everyone else starts singing it? He is a legend.
  20. Isn't it bigoted to call someone that for showing their religion. Why do you get so enraged by this? He does it at every game, not just against us and it doesn't look very good for our club when 1000's of fans behind the goal givwe him dogs abuse when he does it. Who is the real bigots here? Him or the fans that are enraged by his act of religion? I know who i think it is. B)
  21. SE4 G124. Don't think it was the same person because it was one of the police from down near the dugout that came to the gate leading to the pitch and told us to sit down at first and when we ignred him and started signing Derry's Walls, we were tod to stop singing that aswell. His words were " I advise you all to stop singing sectarian songs as i can have you removed." As you can imagine, it went down very well with everyone. Doubt he will be patrolling that area again.
  22. Where in the East Enclosure are you mate? I sit there too and remember people getting told not too sing it but that just made them do it all the more. I felt the atmosphere was alright where i was but nothing compared to previous OF games where there is more at stake.
  23. Mate, he does it before every half, in every game. Doesn't matter who he is playing he still does it so it is hardly being done to wind up Gers fans. If you weren't looking for him to do it (like everybody was) you wouldn't even have noticed it. Why should i defend people like this? They are the reason we get slated for being bigots. I am not a bigot and most other Rangers fans are not either. Are you? Maybe that is a question you need to ask yourself. After all, if you are not then why would someone showing their religion bother you?
  24. In no way was he provoking any riots by doing that. He was very conservative when he did it and didn't even look at the Gers fans before or after it. Those people should be kicked out of Ibrox. Why the hell would you want to film it? All you are doing is showing how much of a bigot you are. The reason he was fined was because of the gestures he made before and after it, this time there was none of that. My view is that all religion should be kept away from football grounds, even in the players case but while there is no law against it he is quite entitled to show his religion without any fear of reprisal. Great little song though. "Boruc, Where's your wife?"
  25. We need at least two good defenders in January. No way is that defence the one that will win us anything. Svensson, Hutton and Smtih are constantly improving but are nowhere near the finished articles and Hemdani needs to be playing in midfield as he cannot deal with balls over the top or in the air. A couple of decent defenders in the transfer window will give us a good range of defenders available and means that injuries wouldn't hurt us as bad.
