  1. Gonna have to sign this. Today has completed the turnaround in my mind about Le Guen. A couple of weeks ago i said he would come good and to stand by him. After the contiuing bad results and this incident today, i am under the illusion that it is time for him to pack his bags. No man is bigger than the club but Fergie is a bigger man than Le Guen.
  2. . CanadianGer said that this could be PLG's plan aswell. Seems that this is quite a popular view. I certainly wouldn't put it past him.
  3. All hail MuffGer, and his great gift of foresight. I would give my left leg for what you say to be true.
  4. ?4-5 Million. That to me is a fair estimation. I am not stupid enough to think we could get around ?7 million . Not like a certain Petrov deal. But if the club are desperate to get rid of him then they might accept mucgh lower.
  5. Maybe used his French too much and unfiorunately PLG understood it.
  6. Nicely put for a change by Jim Templeman. At least he is looking at this one as a Gers fan and hopefully he does know how we are all feeling right now. He is right when he says that an explanation has to be given and if it is not good enougfh then there will be hell to pay for Le Guen.
  7. I am going to join you there mate. I love Barry and he has been my hero for years. I BACK BARRY.
  8. I know, it is just bizarre. If what i have heard is true then this could just be the nail in the coffin of PLG(and as you suggest, it could be his plan.) Come on DM. SORT THIS OUT.
  9. I remember you saying this mate. You could be right. I wouldn't say it is wacky because it is no more wackier than taking the captaincy away from your best player and giving it to one of your worst.
  10. Take this with a pinch of salt lads but apparently Jimmy Bell and Ian Durrant have walked out of Ibrox after the situation with Barry Ferguson. I know that both of these men are personal friends of Barry but i am not sure if it is true or not. Also, apparently DM is in the south of France at the moment and is flying back to Glasgow to sort everything out. Looks like Murray knew nothing of it then. Thoughts?
  11. Wouldn't surprise me if what you say is correct but why would you do that now against Motherwell away? They are hardly opposition that you would change the captaincy for. PLG must know we are facing a decent side tomorrow and must be aware that what he has done is only going to split the team more than it already is. This is a terrible time to do such a thing which leads me to believe that this was a spur of the moment incident.
  12. He could but would you? I certainly wouldn't. If you remember back, Barry got the captaincy the first time under similar circumstances when Amo got stripped of it. Anyone in Gavin's position would take it. I like many others demnd an explanation though and will wait and see what it is before deciding whether to assasinate Le Guen or not. :ph43r:
  13. If everyone else is feeling half as angry as me right now then we are all in danger of exploding so let's calm down and look at this without the Fluck PLG comments and so on. We now know that Barry is no longer the captain and is out of the team tomorrow. He has been replaced by Gavin Rae which is baffling. Firstly i have to say that even though Rae is nothing compared to Barry we should give him support when wearing a Rangers jersey. He never asked for this to happen and is probably as bewildered as the rest of us. With regards to Barry it has been obvious how angry he has been getting with certain players who are not trying hard enough. This leads me to suspect that maybe he has went into one of his famous moods and just lost it with one or more of these players. This could be the reason he was stripped of the captaicy but then again it could be anything. I want everyones CALM thoughts on what you all think has happened behind the scenes and wether you think Barry will leave? Or will PLG go first?
  14. I am NOT a PLG supporter and am quite frankly P1SSED OFF with the current situation. But he won't go before we see what he does in January. He has a last chance to prove he can be a successsful manager however unliely that may sound. A couple of great signings in January who suit Scottish football and he might well get us second place and maybe earn himself another year. But if his signings are as bad as the last ones and things don't improve then come the end of the season it will AU REVOIR PLG. Who we bring in is another debate for another time but at the moment that is how i see it.
  15. I will take this one first. I have to agree that Murray has given us alot over the years but now he is actively searching for a way out, and that is making him care less about the playing side of the club and more about the financial security of the club. I don't like that. I think he should be trying to keep us up to the standards we expect while also trying to keep the debt down rather than solely focusing on balancing the books. You simply do not bring in a top class manager and not fund him. That is madness. We have all said it time and time again that the guy was not prepared for coming here despite the time he had. He bought players who would play well on the continent but not here. That is his fault. He should have been watching videos of what players succeed in our game and it is clear he didn't do nearly enough of it. He then made the mistake of thinking the squad he has was buig enough and talented enough to win the league. Mistake. Our squad is nothing but bare bones and we have a starting 11 with no quality in reserve to come in. Another mistake from the manager which he has to be held to account over. A lack of fight and spirit. A lack of communication. That sums up our players. Barry must be pulling his hair out at how much these players put in to each match. And there is one visible problem that lso goes back to the manager. There is no competition for places. Every player in that team wether it be Jeremy Clement, Charlie Adam or Kris Boyd to name a few. None of them have any fear of someone coming in and knocking them out of the team. Therefore they coast through games knowing that no matter how bad they play they will be picked time and time again and still pick up the wage packet. That is only a few of the problems at our club at the moment but they are the main ones and the ons that are really bringing us down. I only hope that all involved realise the msitakes they have made come tomorow morning and start to make attempts to fix it in January. Otherwise it could well be another year of "Champions League, you're having a laugh".
  16. Would take him as a coach in a minute. The guy is Rangers through and through and he has earned the love of the Gers fans. He knows what this club is all about and the heart you need to play for it so i think he would make a greay coach. Only one thing stopping that. PLG. Even if he doesn't become coach he could always get the job of being Broxi Bear when the current guy retires.
  17. Exactly. All boils down to how he under-estimated the Scottish game again. It was his choice. He never spent all the money that was there which shows he felt he had a good enough squad but he never prepared foer something to happen that would depleat the squad. He didn't expect Bardsley and Martin to go back so early, he didn't expect most of our wingers to get injured and he certainly didn't prepare for fatigue among the older players and who would replace them. It seems that the best news going into the Motherwell game is that Dado Prso, who is almost out on his feet and edging into retirement, is back from injury. A sad state of affairs when we need to rely on the big man. If only the rest had his attitude.
  18. Happy New Year to everyone on the board. All the best for 2007. It will come good. WATP
  19. Why the hell do we need a defensive midfielder? We are supposed to be the team that dictates play and drives forward with two box-to-box midfielders. Clement can hardly do his job to perfection when he was being outclassed and outplayed by St Mirren's midfield. And that i not just a dig at Clement, this is aimed at BF and Charlie Adam. On his day Barry is easily the best player in the country but he cannot do it himself. He needs to organise the midfield better and instill some passion into the players around him. Afterall, he was upset that PLG denounced the role as captain so he should show just what a captain is meant to do by doing the things i have stated. Charlie Adam is never a Rangers player. I have backed him against criticism the whople season but after watching him in the past two games my oppinion has changed. And why is he playing every week? Because our "squad" is nothing but bare bones and we have nobody who can come in to replace him. He knows his place is safe and that is the problem. They all do.
  20. I can't imagine Beckham going to Celtic. Not because he is David Beckham, a World Superstar but can you imagine Posh swapping shopping in Gucci and Versaci for where else but....... OXFAM? Not in my wildest dreams. Do you think she would sign on just to fit in?
  21. Started well but just couldn't cut it. Good luck but i don't see him making it anywhere near the Man U first team and will probably get offloaded to a Championship club in the summer. I think that is his level.
  22. Sorry to dampen anyones hopes of signing this guy, who imo is a quality player and would walk into our team, but remember that this has come from none other than The Sun. Just thought i would warn you before you start to get your hopes up.
  23. Quality signings in January? Doubt it. We haven't been known to make signing with great quality in the January transfer window. Only the clubs with mega-bucks can afford to pay the money for the real quality players. Unless there are any good players who are coming to the end of their contract, their club are desperate to get some kind of fee for them and they want to take a wage cut to come to Scotland then i doubt we will be seeing anything other than the usual. We might get in either Brown or Thomson. I say EITHER because i don't see any way we will spend on both of them. Another signing could be a CH along the lines of a homegrown player who is proving they can be good such as Anderson or Webster. But apart from that i don't see Le Guen getting any serious money to make big signings. That may hapen in the summer and then again it could be a new manager cming in by then. Who knows? Murray does.
  24. Could be a long day baut i think we will get there in the end. Wednesday just showed what we lack without Prso or Boyd in the team. Without their presence upfront we don't create enough and there seems no alternative but to have to play Sebo. 2-1 Gers.
  25. That, combined with the Ricksen money will help us bring in better players and selling him also gets him off the wage bill. That extra 20k a week wouldn't go a miss.
