  1. It is positive to have these discussions though, it brings the issues out into the public domain and the club and fans will be more likely to participate in further discussions this way. If we remain constructive and present our case in a reasonable manner then the least the club can do is enter into some form of dialogue. It is the best way forward.
  2. I think that alone highlights why the club must try and cater for all fans. It is not fair to say that everyone should just stand instead of sitting, because for some people it just isn't an option. But in the same way there are those who wish to stand safely and sing during the game, and these guys also need to be catered for. Football is for everyone.
  3. So you find it hilarious when a group of Rangers fan's display doesn't go as planned. Grow up son.
  4. Police in the Capital have already got three cells waiting for you.
  5. Everyone is entitled to their opinion mate, we take all criticism on-board. Lets not descend into petty insults here.
  6. Sorry, but i can't see the funny side here. Which part do you find amusing?
  7. I know, it is a sensitive issue and if i was these guys i wouldn't be moving either. Problem with the Broomloan is that the UBs would never move there due to it being the Celtic End on Old Firm day. I wasn't there last night, stuck in work, part-timer!
  8. Absolutely mate, it is a definite problem. But Rangers just need to grow a backbone and say to themselves, ok, lets free up a space of about 500 seats in either the Copland or one of the Enclosures where both existing groups and any other interested fans can stand and sing to their hearts content. We'll move the season ticket holders in that section to other areas of the ground, but in turn give them certain benefits such as reduced ticket prices and merchandise vouchers etc etc. It isn't going to please everyone but it solves all of the hassle of having two fan groups in amongst ordinary punters who don't want them there.
  9. No argument from me, i think card displays have run their course. We've had some brilliant ones in the past but it is getting tedious now, no doubt.
  10. Most people in CR1 take exception to the group for standing and singing throughout the game, they don't like it. Especially the ones who sit behind them. Already this season there has been hassle between the two sets of fans over the issue and some fans behind them have phone the grass-a-fan hotline and reported the group and individual members to Police and stewards. And it will keep on happening until Rangers finally realise that a dedicated singing section is needed at Ibrox for those who want to support the team during the game. It is disappointing to see images like that where fans are deliberately not participating, but they want to watch the game in peace and the UBs want something different. The club must start accommodating both and stop treating guys who want to create some colour and atmosphere as criminals.
  11. Me too, but we are singing for the full 90 minutes so it is difficult to keep singing Loyalist, fist-pumping songs throughout. You need that wee bit of variance that the European-style songs give you. They get people bouncing and makes our section look good as well as sound good. Fair enough, the one mentioned in the OP isn't as effective as we would like but because we are a small group it isn't going to sound anywhere near as good as having a full support singing it. Hamburg fans singing the Ole Ole tune sounds absolutely amazing because they have the vocal backing of their entire support. Similar with Rapid in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZK0fGnxjCg&feature=related Any time i have heard our away end singing it, it sounds amazing.
  12. I'll be there, bus is leaving at 8. I can see it getting a wee bit Lionel.
  13. Nonsense. We had the whole Rangers end at the Piggery singing it, same at Tannadice. Has caught on well on supporter's buses too.
  14. It is a poor video to be fair, does sound a lot better in our own section.
  15. That's the one Deanow. It's a good idea for a song but it's always an absolute fail with people clapping out of time and singing too fast at the start. Would be perfect if you had a Capo at the front conducting it.
  16. I think a public fans' body illegally using a credit card machine is a little more severe than downloading a torrent. And as for the cheques being cashed, do you really believe that the RST treasurer would keep a cheque for over 2 grand lying around for a while before cashing it? That's just silly. And, of course, still doesn't explain why it happened a second time..... This thread is still going on because there still isn't any definitive answers to the important questions on this issue.
  17. Thanks for that explanation. But forgive me if i find it hard to believe that someone doesn't know the amount of money they have in their account, not once but twice. That doesn't sit right with me i'm afraid.
  18. There is no point in me emailing them mate, because i get either get no reply or a completely unsatisfactory one. I regret the decision to sign up to being a life member all those years ago, if i had known the Trust would be in this state i never would have. A busted flush in every sense.
  19. The worst part about all of this is that behind all the arguments and tit-for-tat insults the legitimate questions regarding the financial irregularities at the RST have fallen by the wayside. Meaning that Mark Dingwall and the other Board members involved have escaped having to answer these questions to people like me, who are members of the Trust. That's right, i'm still a member. So can someone please answer me these questions: 1) Why did it take two years before the transaction of over £2'000 was documented in the accounts? 2) Who paid for the legal fees involved in finding out whether Mark had broken the law by bouncing checks? 3) Why did Mark send two check to the RST when he knew the money wasn't there to cash them? 4) Why is the Student Loans Company owed money from the RST? I'd be very grateful for any answers to this, but can imagine it may disappear under all of the shite in this thread. I would ask on FF, but...you know, i can't because it would be deleted in minutes.
  20. He's already warned us about our song choice and has placed about a dozen coppers at our section every home game.
  21. He is complete and utter prick, worse than the previous two from what i've experienced. Strikes me as someone desperate to make an impression on the support.
  22. Club aren't going to shell out on any card displays, especially as we can't guarantee a full house. Plus the majority see it as being something which has had its day at Ibrox. We've done far too many over the past few years.
  23. No official club card display tonight or at any CL game this season.
