  1. Yes, September weekend when many will be on holiday and can't attend... Good point. Interesting to say the least............. Like the EGM last year the morning after the Walk? The AGM last year was the September Weekend too I think. Anyone less secure than myself could be under the impression the board wish to prevent an open forum with as many members in attendance as possible. Not unless 6th September formed part of the September weekend. I said "I think". I accept I was wrong. It's been the September weekend before though. It's unsuitable for many, and I suggest you move it earlier next year to give more members a chance to attend.

  4. "Football is a catalyst for raising the awareness of the changes families and communities can make, from walking to games, eating healthier, kickabouts in the garden to on the pitch itself. "The Active Nation Scottish Cup offers the perfect platform to get more people thinking about their health and making changes that will benefit them in the future." SFA chief executive Gordon Smith added: "I have always believed that we should be using the positive aspects of football to give future generations of Scots the confidence to succeed and the determination to be all they can be. "We all want our children to be fitter, healthier and happier. This year's Active Nation Scottish Cup will not just be a fantastic competition, it will be also be a part of the campaign to change lives and to make our country a better place." Until former Celtic director Haughey's deal the competition was without a sponsor for 17 months, since brewer Tennent's ended its 18-year association with the cup. Rangers are the current cup holders, with this season's first round scheduled for Saturday 26 September. Maybe we can get some free fruit at Scottish Cup games, I'd like that! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/s...ups/8266911.stm That's embarrassing.
  5. This is a "my time" XI too Goram Stevens Gough Brown Numan Laudrup Souness Gazza Cooper Hately McCoist
  6. Bheast FC have no principles, and neither do their support. Never have and never will. This is the club that forked out 5 grand to fly Angelika Kluk's body back to Poland to be cremated, just to ingratiate themselves with the (then) growing Polish Community in Scotland. There may have been another agenda but I wouldn't like to speculate.
  7. If that's your attempt at a charm offensive, then you're on ahiding to nothing.
  8. Note that most of the "journos" writing about this anniversary are supporters of the Green'n'Grey. That should tell you everything. It's lazy journalism and an excuse to raid the archives to attack Rangers and the support. There is no mention at all of his abuse at the hands of the Celtic support, no mention of his family being attacked, and no mention of the childish threats to boycott the "Auld Firm" charity match in 2005 unless he pulled out. That's the real story; How Glasgow's RC Community never understood or forgave MoJo signing for us. It riled them then, and riles them now.
  9. Just tried to download the file and cannot seem to get the excel file at all. I did download it a few years ago, and was amazed by the depth of data in it, but due to a hard drive failure, I lost the file. I went to the front page where there is a link to trhe excel version, and all it gave me was a load of folders with "xml" files. The link from this forum post does not work either. Does anyone know how to get this file, as I would love to have another copy of it to read for hours on end. Even if someone can email it to me, I would be happy to do it that way as well. Mon' the bears. Cheers, Will Same here. Can the Excel file be re-posted please? Thanks
  10. A Museum is just one of countless opportunities that could be explored, and the trophy room could remain. Fact is Rangers are not marketing themselves properly, neither at home or abroad. The shambles of no kit being available in stores prior to Manchester should have seen heads roll, particularly when a bonus was riding on sales performance.
  11. 1st Team Coach is his title, but other than that I wouldn't know.
  12. Good article, and something the club should be exploiting to the full, but one has to ask this. If the club can't exploit the home market, what chance have they of exploiting foreign markets? Rangers have more supporters in Scotland than anyone else, sell more merchandise in Scotland than anyone else, but still don't take advantage of events that could grow the club. Some examples: No Museum - while Celtic do. Visiting fans come to Glasgow and cannot take stadium tour Lack of availability of Rangers merchandise outside of JJB (and even within JJB in many cases) The last UEFA Final in Glasgow - absolutely no effort made to entice football fans to Ibrox, and only one page in the programme about the club, against 18 pages related to Celtic. Marketed properly, we could leave Celtic so far behind they'd be whining in the shadows We should concentrate on matters close to home, and get far more professional, before jumping in to the US market. I take it with a pinch of salt about Shellik cornering the Asian Market. It's a myth propagated by Celtic propagandists and second rate hacks. When Nakamura leaves, their market out there will die, as insignificant as it is.
  13. I'd suggest you get in touch with the admin over at vanguardbears. Theres a couple of avid collectors over there with serious memorabilia collections.
  14. The article is about the media's bile (in particular, the Scottish Sun), not "internet bile" I'm well aware of what its about but even still the principle is still the same. When it comes to reading the sun or indeed taking notice then it just goes to show you can't be too careful As Mitchell says, that statement is meaningless...

  16. Check this article on Vanguard. Puts the Sun's 18 pages of bile in to perspective and asks for Boycott http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/338094475?-11344 http://www.vanguardbears.co.uk/index.php?o...2&Itemid=26
  17. No arguments here, however, it was the only Sunday rag in Scotland that would tell it like it is regards the Clatty Clan and their nefarious ways. The rest are cowards. Agree with you in relation to the tabloids but I'd say the Sunday Herald is pretty balanced and not as hostile to Rangers as other papers are.... This would be the same Sunday Herald that still carries an untrue allegation against a Rangers supporter on it's website? The same newspaper who employ both Michael Grant & Liam McDougall? I think not. http://findarticles.com/p/search?qa=Michae...ag=content;col1
