Can't blame Lafferty or Jelavic for this performance. The midfield is not giving them anything. Weir's distribution from the back hasn't been great but I don't see anyone in the middle willing to take the ball from him and start trying to dictate the play. Poor show so far but hopefully a kick up the backside at halftime will help.

I didn't think Weiss had a great game today but think that in the end a game like today where it's tough for him could be really beneficial for him. I think he now more than ever will realise the pressure of playing for Rangers and will hopefully step it up in the coming games.

Seen enough to know he is far better than Beattie and a better all round player than Boyd. Yes he missed an easy chance but his movement and the rest of his game seems worth it to me. However, yes it is early days and he needs to prove it every week.

I'm still fairly confident of this deal, Rangers having said we were in discussions with Rapid would have walked away by now if it didn't look likely.

I can't believe this story, Walter has been giving it the line about being careful with our signings, surely a 32 year old at 1.5 million who has not played a great deal recently is exactly what we should be avoiding . Will be disappointed if this turns out to be true.

If the Stv article is to be believed it still looks good for us. Can only presume Rapid are not wanting to pay him anything because they feel he is looking to move rather than them actively selling if you see what I mean. Could get complicated if that's the case and might come down to the finer details of his current deal.

The best of it was him trying to claim he was a Morton fan or some shite like that.
