  1. SCORE: KAUNUS 0 v. RANGERS 2 SCORERS: Miller and Velicka
  2. Rangers 3-1 Kaunas Miller, Velicka x2
  3. With our current squad as it stands I dont think we will. We need at least 2 new midfielders and a better right back to have any chance.
  4. The one area of the team that I thought was really poor last year was the midfield, no creativity, pace or anything, didn't show up so much early on as Hutton was bombing down the right and he could at leat beat a man with the ball. We have done absolutely nothing to improve this area of the team. As it stands I think our team is in a worse state than it was at the end of 2007 Walter has alot of work to do between now and the beginning of the season if we are to mount a challenge. What really concerns me though is the CL qualifiers, not just the tricky 3rd round, I think even the second stage will be tough as it stands. It has been many years since I felt so negative going into a season, hopefully we can pull a couple of decent signings out the bag to get us going.
  5. Having calmed down from yesterday, I do accept that I was very hasty with my response to this news, if he indeed demanded 20 grand a week and would not budge on that then he can in fact GTF. However, I feel my frustration to jump onto Murray and Bain's backs was out of frustration at the way we have been doing our business lately. I accept that there is plenty of time left in the window and we must not be held to ransom, however we have an extremely important CL qualifier coming up that we MUST progress from, we need players in and in fast.
  6. Total fuckin embarrasment, I would now fully expect Celtic to step in now and sign him for probably 5 grand more a week or something just to get it up us. This is ridiculous, cant even tempt a Championship player :angry2: Sad days ahead at Ibrox I think Bain, Murray, GTF
  7. Midfield situation will be quite desperate if we dont sign anybody soon, thats my only thoughts, I personally am not sure that he is worth 4 million, but he is a very good player and one I would like to see more of at Ibrox.
  8. I worry for Joe in this fight, everybody is saying Jones is washed up, and there is no doubt he is not the force he was after bad losses to Tarver twice and Glen Johnson. Joe will need to be at the top of his game. Having said that, I have not seen Jones last few fights, despite winning he may indeed be a shadow of his former self. Has anybody seen Jones last couple of fights against Trinidad etc?
  9. Just shows how good the guy actually is that he could win a major with that injury. The guy is the best golfer ever, by a country mile!
  10. Hopefully our new midfielders are currently at Euro 2008 I can dream
  11. I actually think this is a good signing for us, not alot of money and he has a great scoring record, might not be the big name that we were looking for (although never likely to get) but I think he may turn out to be a top player for us
  12. I worded that poorly, I was meaning more the business side rather than the playing staff
  13. I have to say, a quick look at this board and you immediately notice that there is a massive divide amongs supporters about how the club is being run. I have been viewing thes boards for a couple of years albeit I dont post very much and I have never seen us split as we are just now. I would say that this shows a clear lack of direction at the club and that there are serious problems off the park, nobody has a clue what exactly is going on, where we are heading, all we get is small snippets of information which dont seem to be leading anywhere. Whether you think Murray has/is/hasn't done a good job for Rangers , I think it is imperative that the club is cleared out top to bottom, including Murray. The club is stagnant, lacking in vision and ideas. We are heading backwards sadly, and it pains me to say that. Do even Murray's backers not think that his time is up, regardless of whether they think he is doing a good job? I suppose alot of this has been covered already, just trying to let some of my frustrations out I guess.
  14. We can dream though - has added nothing to the team. Hopeless
  15. I think he said 2 or 3 players, but if players moved on it would maybe be more. Its early days in the transfer window but I cant say I am expecting any major signings.
  16. I fear you are right Muff...and it looks like we have just blown the first couple of million http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ch-Rangers.html
  17. Further confirmation - looks like its happening - Source - Daily Mail Scotland striker Kenny Miller will follow Rob Earnshaw out of relegated Derby after agreeing a three-year deal to join Rangers for £1.9million. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...ch-Rangers.html
  18. I will be gutted if we cant stretch to 12million and that does not include us selling anybody, if we do that should be added on top. Realistically, we will maybe spend 8 million and that will include any sales and it will be disappointment again. Walter has done a great job of stabilising the team, its now time to push on and add some quality to the side. I feel like we say this every year but next season is huge for our club, 2nd place is not worth thinking about again, sadly though, without real investment it is a distinct possibility based on our current squad.
  19. Keep it the way it is, wouldn't mind seperating the sourced and unsourced ones though
  20. All the best to him, it looked like an awful injury and has since proved to be. Showed in glimpses the real ability he has, terrible timing as he was just starting to settle into the club I felt.
  21. I voted Undecided, purely because it depends what position he plays, if I thought he would start in the middle it would be a definite yes, if it is to play on the right, then I think the money could possibly be better used somewhere else.
  22. I would love to know who told them it would be 8 million, I will be gutted if he is sold, but if it is for any less than 14 million I will be raging. :angry2:
  23. I would accept that in a heartbeat, Cousin has been shocking the last month or 2. I was at the Dundee Utd game at Ibrox earlier in the month, and I seriously thought he was gonna cost us that game. Davis will need to improve as well mind you, he has been a bit off the boil lately
