  1. I am sure I will not be the only fan at Ibrox with a lump in the throat and maybe a tear in the eye as Walter and Ally come out of the tunnel.

I know that memories and reminiscing is not the answer to our problems but if they can install even half of the feeling of pride, respect, dignity and unity on and off the pitch that some of us experienced during 9, then our future will be very good indeed.

Personally speaking, those were the greatest days of my life, following Rangers home and away. In victory, we celebrated together. In defeat, we supported each other. We were one big family, players and fans alike. No one liked us, we didn't care. We were all Rangers men together. Some of the younger members won't remember, but the older guys will.

Remember the banter between the East Enclosure and the Copland, baiting each other for a song? Superb!!

The bottom line is, I am certain that Walter and Ally will ensure that the feelings stated above will be returned to us, sooner rather than later. You never know, maybe we collectively, will finally make a stand against all of the scum that knock us and let it be known that WE ARE THE PEOPLE.

Anyway, that's enough from me for now, must go and do the three S's, have a quick (doob) then off to Haymarket for the 11.30 choo choo. If you're going to the game, enjoy and let's raise the roofs. If you're listening in the UK or abroad, enjoy and singalong!

Simply the best, fuck the rest.

    YES!!!

  2. Remember the days when we had a number of " captains" on the pitch, guys who moaned, bullied, cajoled their fellow players into giving more, (just like Barry Ferguson does) and we applauded them for doing so. For example, Gough, Brown, Ian Ferguson in the same team. Amo.Numan and Ferguson were natural "captains"

I can go back to my childhood and name a team containing, Bobby Shearer, George Young, Harold Davis, Sammy Baird, guys who would not have put up with the lack of passion or fight that our present team has shown and who would have had a lot of our present squad either in hospital or running to their mothers.

Every good team needs a moaner and as much as I detest Lennon and his style of play, he makes his team work.

All in all, I cannot understand the flak that Barry is getting for doing what all of us should and many of us want and expected him to do!

  3. Small, very light, fast, scored goals in reserves 2 years ago. Did very little last year, think he was injured for a spell, however the style the reserves played didn't make anyone look good last year or this year.

Possibly at an age when, like most of our promising young players in the past, should move to get a chance of first team football

  4. He scored 5 in 35 starts for Vienna and I doubt he could score in ladies football either.

Not true. You're probably getting those stats from Wikipedia etc. Look at his stats for Rangers - 18 games played, 2 goals.

Does that mean 18 STARTS? No, it doesn't. You're lucky if he's played 3 or 4 full games for us.

I doubt he could score in ladies football either.

And that just shows your bias when you make a silly statement like that.

    Let me repeat the facts;

He made 35 starts (that means starts)for Austria Vienna and he scored a total of 5 goals for Austria Vienna.

I said in jest that he couldn't score in ladies football but then again there is many a true word said in jest.

  5. Be honest ??? How many times have you actually watched this Todd monkey

Ive saw him 4 or 5 times this season on the live Blackburn games and he is less than ordinary

    Just a feckin monkey

yeah and he is just back from injury couldn't get in the team but has played the last 5 games which incidentally blackburn have not lost .

prior to his inclusion the were just above relegation and conceding loads of goals now they don't and have moved from that zone

Apart from losing 6-2 against Arsenal.

  6. I'd still like to see Brown at Rangers.  I don't understand why they have to stay together..?

And I agree, Gaffbear.  They already bought Sno and Gravesen, so why tf are they going for another two??  It's a complete waste of transfer money, wages, and players (because lets be honest, they'll not play regularly)

I don,t rate Thomson and I don't think Brown could handlethe pressure of playing for the old firm because of his temperament .

Are they engaged or do they just go everywhere together?

Yeah they are lovers and are looking to adopt.

Thanks for clearing that up. Muffger.

  8. I'd rather play Lowing NOW than anyone else mentioned in this thread. Hasnt he already featured this season? Came on late in a game I think. Looks solid, so, why not??

Yeah mate came on against Partizan. Looked solid enough with a good touch.

Let him cement a place in the reserves first, 1 very nervy game and 1 sub appearance last year and 1 sub appearance this season and he is a legend in the making?

Hibernian duo Scott Brown and Kevin Thomson are determined to move to Celtic before the close of the transfer window.

The unsettled duo are keen to leave Easter Road after a contract dispute with the Edinburgh club over new deals.

The midfield duo were looking to win improved deals at Hibs, but the club declined to offer them the improved contracts they were seeking.

The news alerted a number of clubs to the pair with the likes of Celtic, Rangers, Sheffield United, Portsmouth, and Reading all linked with the duo.

However, the pair have their hearts set on a switch to Celtic after The Bhoys tabled an offer for them last week.

The players' agent Willie McKay revealed both players had told Hibernian of their desire to make the move to Parkhead.

"The boys had a meeting with John Collins and Rod Petrie yesterday and they have told them they want to leave the club for Celtic," McKay told skysports.com.

"Collins and Petrie have pleaded with them to stay until June, but they believe too much water has gone under the bridge for them to stay on at Hibs.

"Hibs had a great opportunity to sort all this out two months ago when I asked to have a meeting with them.

"But they refused to meet me and now they want to do it now which is too late.

"The boys have been getting verbal abuse from Hibs supporters when they play and on the street, so the situation has become untenable for them really.

"Celtic have made bids for both players and they have their hearts set on moving to Celtic.

"They want to sort something out as soon as possible as they want to play in the Champions League and have the chance to play against AC Milan."

Thoughts on this considering yesrerday they were qouted as desperate to team up with Tony Mobray at West Brom.?

  10. He will do well to finish 3rd, we have a poor first team and there is no one in the squad who can change results, and as for the reserves, well forget it.

He will have to deal with the results of bad purchases over the last 3 years.

It was going to be a long haul when plg took over and I don't see it will be easier now.

  11. I would want 6 of these to be punted asap so we could maybe scrape into 3 rd place.

Todd==Zura's deputy,3 rd choice at Blackburn until Nelson regains fitness, slow, consistently erratic.

Murray= the slowest, most unbalanced player we have.

Whittaker, good going forward, poor in defence.

    Hartley, why?

Thomson no better than Clement and lacks pace.

Gow again what makes people think he can succeed in a big team environment? Thought we might have learnt a lesson from purchases like Rae and Murray.

Still not sure Brown could handle the pressure at Rangers considering his temperament so would maybe give him till the end of the season.
