I didn't want him to come purely for football reeasons, as I think he is overrated and rarely puts in a 90 minutes shift.
Ok, he is miles better than Rae and Adam but I don,t think he would give a decent return unless we could get him for free like his last 3 clubs.

I would want 6 of these to be punted asap so we could maybe scrape into 3 rd place.
Todd==Zura's deputy,3 rd choice at Blackburn until Nelson regains fitness, slow, consistently erratic.
Murray= the slowest, most unbalanced player we have.
Whittaker, good going forward, poor in defence.
Hartley, why?
Thomson no better than Clement and lacks pace.
Gow again what makes people think he can succeed in a big team environment? Thought we might have learnt a lesson from purchases like Rae and Murray.
Still not sure Brown could handle the pressure at Rangers considering his temperament so would maybe give him till the end of the season.

Can't believe people are slating Ferguson for wanting to get the ball and get play going.
Hemdani never wants the ball off the keeper, and Hutton, Svensson and Smith (afraid to say) just punt it aimlessly up the park when they get the ball, Hutton and Svensson in particular.
Clement never comes back for the ball either, so why are we slating him for this.
And as for all this Ferguson thinking he's 'Mr Rangers'...well given the current number of bluenoses in the squad at the moment, we need a Mr Rangers and I'm glad of this as he's our best player.
QUITE RIGHT!
I cannot believe anyone who goes to the game could criticise Ferguson, one of the few players we have that actually gives a damn about the team and hates to lose and is the only consistently international class player we have.
I am now expecting him to be blamed for genocide the way some people have been reacting.

Billy Davies would be my 1st choice and I said that before we appointed Le Guen. Smith would be my 2nd choice, so I am happy with him. I really want Coisty in about there tho.

He has ABSOLUTELY NO EXPERIENCE AT THIS LEVEL and will follow the same managerial path as the likes of Alex Totten and so on. I like the guy, but manaing RANGERS - gimme a break wi this shite - PLEASE!!!!

there are plenty of guys at his level doing what he does. I don't see the difference. between him and curbishley - gimme curbishley anytime.
Curbishley took his team to the next level, Davies failed twice.

deserves to play more than gavin rae does imo. I know he inconsistant but we are short on creative players and wont easily replace him for ?1.5m
I agree, we should be getting shot of lower division players like Rae,Adam and Murray and play our quality players in their best positions.

I was a critic of Smith in his final season because of his negative approach that season where he basiically changed to a 5-2-3 system and felt that cost us the league and the cup final.
Although he has improved the results of Scotland, he still plays a negative team and style of play. Scotland games are painful to watch and I find little enjoyment watching desperate defendinng and one forward running about chasing opposition defenders.
I have never been a fan of playing 5 central defenders in a team and Walter has done so several times even in home games; Pressley, Weir,Webster at theback and Caldwell and Dailly, midfield and full back.
So I for one am a bit concerned as to where we are going.

both are head and shoulders above the crap now playing at the back for us.

Andrews cannot get a game for Raith Rovers. I saw the last game he played for Rangers in the reserves and it was so painful I had tears in my eyes.
His knee is gone and it is embarassing to see him try to turn.

The whole back 4 were embarrassing to Rangers football club yesterday and ,with the exception of Stevie Smith and Hutton against Celtic , we've been pish there all season.
Stevens for me was the best we've had there,Steven Wright was ok till he got injured.
Best full back lst 20 years................anyone ???

Stuart Munro was underrated, great defensively,tenacious tackler, good going forward and could put in a decent cross.
Never got the credit due to him because he wasn't showy and just did his job.

I think Buffel was good when he came on as was Burke.
Barry started the game nervously but grew as the game went on!
Didn't think Buffel looked anywhere near fit, perhaps the belgian drinking culture to blame. Wasted 3 moves by being 3 to 4 yards offside. flattered to deceive.

Here's hoping that Walter addresses the right back problem this time around. If memory serves me right did he not buy Stalle Stenhass (spelling??), and try Craig Moore at RB, both of which were p**h.

He played Moore, Boli, McPherson, all central defenders at right back, even Bjorklund on a few occasions in his final year.

Don't care whether they sign for Celtic and I don't think Celtic will play 6 in midfield.
We are in a dog fight for any European place and if Hibs are weaker without them so much the better for us.

Defo would love him here. Can play out on the left or through the middle. Only problem is his temper.

If you want to talk about power at a club then Gavin Rae.
Should have been subbed for burke today but cant because he is captain and this situation is a joke, so we take off Rodriguez the only defender we have the now capable of winning a ball in the air, put Hemdani in who since he has played CB for us has won out every game 3 or so headers propably, this was a weakness today.
"captain" well he was missing today its not a personal swipe at Rae i know hes been caught in the crossfire and i cant recall him playing right mid before but all of this because the saga that is going on.
Does'nt matter if ferguson wears the armband he is still the leader in that team and if Rangers are to progress in future we cant have people like Gavin Rae as captain.
Rae should never be captain of Rangers since he is a player who should never have been signed.
He seems a nice genuine guy but as I have said many times he was an average first division player elevated beyond his capabilities.

According to Gough the drinking stories were heavily exaggerated. He said they would organise a night out every 3 to 4 weeks, have dinner and a few pints.

Who would think that a team with Svensson, JRod, Murray, Adam and Rae would have any chance of beating half a Dunfermline team?
Had Durrant not seen what happens when Svensson and JRod play together?

Only Novo and Burke looked as if they wanted to play for us until Boyd woke up in the 2nd half.
An absolute shambles and what makes it worse is the fact that of the 13 who got onto the pitch only 1 was a plg signing, 7 were Ecks,and 5 came through the ranks(counting Barry in this)

He's old(ish), overrated, has a terrible attitude and poor disciplinary record (especially considering his age) not to mention he's a tim. And from what I understand he absolutely despises Rangers.. I can't think of any reason he'd want to join anyway except to piss off people like me.
The money could be better spent elsewhere..

Good going forward but poor defensively any time I have seen him live or on tv. On balance I prefer Hutton. It would seem that, despite his form over the last 6 weeks , he is going to be the latest of a line of young players getting constant criticism no matter what he does.

He will do well to finish 3rd, we have a poor first team and there is no one in the squad who can change results, and as for the reserves, well forget it.
He will have to deal with the results of bad purchases over the last 3 years.
It was going to be a long haul when plg took over and I don't see it will be easier now.
