Most of the big teams in Europe have 4 or 5 nationals;
Arsenal have 1 english player in their top team squad of 32.
Liverpool play with 4or 5 British players as do Man U and Chelsea.
Barca and Real have around 4 true nationals.
Tradition doesn't automatically bring success and I want success for our team no matter what.

LeQuen had a cv of winning titles and bringing on players.
Davies has no history of winning. Burley has an inconsistent record.

Another point of view is that over the past 5 seasons the more scots players in the team the poorer the results.
Quality not nationality is the ground for success.

If he signs today can he be registered in time for Sunday? I thought he was injured at Wigan or was suffering from a niggling injury?
No he was thought to be too slow and too crap for the premiership.

Sebo canny get a game for Rangers yet scores a hat trick for his country. PlG tactice me thinks.
Scored in friendlies against Cyprus and Malta then hooked at half time in a real international and dropped from the squad.
He cannot score into an empty net in the warm up and watch him run with the ball at his feet, head down looking at the ball,no idea where he is or what is going on around him, 5 goals in 35 starts in the Austrian league-- not tactics just a god awful signing.

Keep Clement and maybe Karl but bin the rest.
We need a striker though cos although Novo has heart he ain't Rangers class so although we're bringing in a centre half and 2 midfielders we need another defender and a striker.
Clement will follow PLG to whereever he goes next
Keep Svensson and probably the kids, bin the rest (keep Sebo as the crowd love chanting his name)

Might be cheap but not a cracking STRIKER; 35 goals in 136 starts and that includes his 3 last week. Most of his goals in lower league.

I think the only good signing was Clement.Svensson is a bombscare and no matter who would partner him the weakness will be there in his heading,marking,awareness and composure.

I am more excited about getting Brown and Thomson and seeing Durrant struting his stuff in the dugout!
Durranty tends to stand still at the dugout with his arms folded and shows little emotion.
Maybe because he is watching a poor reserve team and is trying to stop himself running on to the park and showing how to play.

If the 3 are coming talks must have been going on for a while and since Webster is definitely not plg's type of defender maybe plg has not been in the loop for some time.
So is Murray, or Bain,or Smith, or Ally or Eck picking the signings?
Were plg's signings his choice???

Swap deal? Would not take either of them and Barry would have to drop his wages by 95% by all accounts.

If PLG gets rid of J Rod,Buffel,Prso,Boyd and Fergie and brings in Gow then i'm afraid there will be a season ticket up for grabs in the govan east corner next season.
I have followed the Bears for 27 years to nearly every country they have visited and have had a season ticket since 1986 before that it was pay at the gate(remember those days)
But if that's the quality were looking at then i will waste my money on beer than going to see them.
How low can we go.

Barry Ferguson is a great individual player, but is not a team player.
He thinks he is Mr Rangers and so many Rangers fans like yourself are blind to the truth. You all think he is whiter than white, loves the club with all his heart and acts in the best interests of Rangers football club. You couldnt be further from the truth. McLeish should have taken this stance against Barry 12 months ago when he started undermiming him. He wants to do everything, which is not on. Your so blind to the truth, its sad.
"Knowledgeable bears" Yeah thats a good one. Funny how when the story broke 90% were all behind Barry, 2 days later when the facts are revealed, its a lot more closer to 50/50. The majority of fans Backing Barry are just anti PLG.

Ok, I'll go for :
1-0 against Hearts
3-0 against Hibs
1-0 against Aberdeen
All with Barry. So what does that say?

No! Did you not see the episode of Dream Team when they went paintballing to fix team spirit and Dean Sturridge was blinded by his sworn enemy on the Harchester team. After evidence like that paintballing is not the answer!

All fans questioned PLG's decision to play two defensive midfielders and hence he changed to 4-4-2 with BF told to play the advanced roll and when he did this the formation worked and the team played i.e hibs 1st half but the problem is BF resorts to type and wants to sit and bulid the play, when we already have Hemdani and Clement for that.
So what choice did PLG have?
I beleive their relationship can be sorted but only if BF takes his head outta his ass and stops acting like a f*d and concentrates on his job and not everyone else's!!!
Hemdani has been playing in central defence and certainly has not been building the play.If Barry doesn't go to collect the ball we have McGregor or Svensson hitting the long ball to the opposition.
This situation shows the lack of management skills from and the lack of respect to plg.
To burn his bridges with the only class player we have is absurd, any manager worth his salt wpuld have sorted this out in private.

What you all fail to realise is that what ferguson has been doing isnt good for the team. when you are at the game and see him taking the ball from the goalkeeper or off the centre backs does it not annoy you that the more attacking of the two midfielders is being so defensive. The other problem is that he simply doesnt defend well, he doesnt shut men down and doesnt tackle.
Le guen has asked him to play a role, he isnt doing so and it hurts the team. We now have to always use the wings as he doesnt push forward, this means commiting Hutton and Smith up the flanks which leaves the defense short for cover. Hemdani or Svensson then has to cover which leaves gaps in the box and teams score.
There is the other problem that because we have around 7 players in our own half, we are letting teams come at us. there is no real reason for Ferguson to play so deep, he has been asked to play a more attacking role by PLG and he isnt doing it. Surley from a tactical standpoint, you can all see that the way he plays is allowing teams to attack us.
It was the same thing that happend when Mcleish was in charge, Ferguson didnt trust the other players he played with and played too far back. He does much better in Europe when he pushes up the field but for some reason in Scotland he doesnt want to do so.
If any player plays against the managers wishes and the role he plays affects the team then the manager has every right to drop him.
We play our best and most effective football on the ground. I get annoyed with the ball being lumped aimlessly up the park for our giant players Novo, Sionko,Burke because we never win the ball in the air and never win the second ball.
McGregor has obviously been instructed to play the ball long, Svensson hits the long ball, Hemdani has the talent to play decent passes but it tends to be Svensson who makes the passes.
Barry wants to play through the midfield and, therefore, goes back to collect the ball to make the passes which will keep us in possession. So if that is disobeying the managers tactics, I would have to support Barry and football.

No matter the rights or wrongs of the Barry situation, one thing is clear, Le Quen has shown indisputable lack of management skills and I believe he could cost us a place in Europe next season.

Fergie and Novo have to do the tracking back since Adam and Sionko are not able or willing to do so and results have shown Clement cannot do it on his own.

Is Sebo a flop or not I personally think he needs more time coming on to a game with 5 minutes to go isn't going to help.
The longer he is on the less convincing he becomes - 90 mins versus Zenit, St Johnstone, Inverness Caley etc

He is the only true international player we have but we have no bargaining power because of the way this has been handled.
If he will not be picked for the team again Bain will accept anything to save paying his wages.
If he has said he will not play again then the same scenario to save the wage bill exists.
