None of whom play as Defensive Midfielders I would agree with you if he is keeping Edu out the team.

There are worse players than him out there not pulling their weight and to say Boyd would do a better job in a Defensive Midfield role is laughable to say the least.

He will make proper movements into the Arsenal team between now and the end of the season, sending him out to an SPL team on loan will do nothing for him.
