  1. Started a new game. First things first, sold Brown and Samaras to fund a new CB. Playing Forrest just behind Hooper in my 4-4-1-1 formation.
  2. No a tan fan. Her face would leave skid marks over yer pillow.
  3. Fuck it mate, agreed. Let's sell Ibrox, move into that new Olympic Stadium, get bought by some oil tycoons and buy Tevez. Easy peasy. :broadfoot:
  4. That's because they mentioned we are 7 points clear. OT - The program was a shower of shite.
  5. Decent enough performance. 10 points is all that matters.
  6. Charlie Nicholas is a clueless fud. Utter moron. And we should have scored more. Laff's goal was clearly onside. Davis, take a bow son.
  7. No idea pal, was trying to elevate the figures as much as possible if I'm honest. I don't think we could afford to cut back any more.
  8. I'll give it a shot! (I'm seriously having to guess the approximate wages...) OUT Healy - £8k Kerkar - £3k Davis - £25k Broadfoot - £5k Weir - £5k Papac - £8k Edu - £10k McCulloch - £15k Whittaker - £30k Ortiz - £8k Alexander - £8k That's £125k using rather generous wage figures. With no room for bringing new players in... leaving us a squad of: GK McGregor DF Goian Bartley (loan) Wallace Bocanegra McMillan MF Fleck McKay Bedoya Ness Wylde Bedoya Cole Hutton Bendiksen Little FW Naismith Lafferty Jelavic Hemmings
  9. Over £130,000 per week... how many players would that involve shifting? Is there anywhere that has a rough estimate of what our current players earn?
  10. But that's exactly the point I'm getting at! What was the point in chasing all of these signings during the summer? It's the smoke and mirrors bullshit that gets on my nerves. Our transfer dealings were completely amateurish and got us slated by just about every club we went into negotiation with. It's just like David Murray has never left. Also, January is never the best time to go tinkering with the squad. Now it's looking like we'll be involved in a fire sale and having to gel young players into the squad who could have been given a run in from the start. I, personally, would have been satisfied in the first place had he been honest from the start and stated what the financial situation was with regards to the transfer/wage budgets. I'm all for us living within our means, and I believe it's the only way we'll maintain the financial stability to continue running. The fact that he took over the club with all of these promises of investment in playing staff, only to come out a couple of months later and tell us that we're having to chop around £130,000 a week off of the wage bill and we won't be spending what he previously stated we would disturbs me and leads me to mistrusting him.
  11. I'd certainly be putting my hands in my pocket. I'd hope any other true Bears would do everything they possibly could too.
  12. The only way this would be realistically achievable is by selling our higher earners...
  13. Whether anyone likes it or not, Craig Whyte has blatantly lied to Rangers fans since the off and it's disgusting. I've tried to hold off on the considerable doubts I've had about him, but this is taking the piss. "There seems to be this attitude that we should throw money at things, that we should go and spend £5m or £10m on transfers every season. "I think the days of doing that in Scottish football are now gone." Not only have his amateurish transfer dealings constantly dragged the name of the club through the mud, it's now clear he had absolutely no intention of paying inflated fees for anyone. So much for the £25m over 5 years (plus more if we needed it this season)! Then he says we have to trim £7m from our wage budget? In other words, bye bye Jelavic. Bye bye McGregor. Bye bye anyone of any reasonable value. The extended contracts make perfect sense now.
  14. Not even going to comment on the performance. 3 points is the vital thing.
  15. Rangers fail to pay £35k law firm bill EXCLUSIVE MARTIN WILLIAMS 9 Sep 2011 RANGERS Football Club will face fresh embarrassment in court today after failing to settle a £35,000 bill with one of Scotland’s top law firms. Counsel for Glasgow-based Levy & McRae are expected to apply for a decree in the Court of Session to award the firm all it is owed from the Ibrox club. It comes after Levy & McRae claimed Rangers had indicated they would pay the full sums being sued over yesterday, but failed to do so. No explanation was given, the firm said. That is just fucking humiliating.
  16. I'm in regular contact with a lad who'd be more vocal had he not been paid. I'm not going to sit and cause panic with rumours that are coming directly from any sources because they're exactly that. Rumours. There's enough panic floating around without someone else fanning the flames. Wages, on the other hand, have not been a problem. And that's a fact.
  17. This is categorically incorrect. I can assure you of that. I'm not one who's in the know as far as the deeper stuff goes, but I can promise you that this is just a blatant lie.
  18. It's not just some Rangers obsessed maniac though, is it? Numerous outlets have been dripping information with regards to our financial situation in the last few days, and whether they're obsessive taigs or not, past experience says someone in the know is feeding these trolls information. I don't believe for a second that a chairman of any other footballing outfit of our stature would allow these rumours to circulate without so much as a rebuttal. Even for the sake of assuring the paying fans, who're completely in the dark.
