Well thats the 1st game ive watched us in this pre season. And it didn't make me and Others feel to Happy. and he tryed nothing in that game today. put novo miller on. were was AAron,Shnnie,Boyd. thought we were supposed to see more of AAron And Shinnie. this season. I know its a pre season game,but this is when you need to play them, Arsenal & Manu and other top Quality Teams All give there Youngsters a Chance. and Thats when we see how good they are. and if they are better than The Players You have. Aaron played on Saturday vs. PSG. Boyd's fitness is shocking, and it would've been horrible seeing him try to go up against the likes of gallas You really think that Smith is going to give Shinnie his first match as a Ranger against a team like Arsenal? We need to get a grip because its guys like this that are giving Timmy ammo on us. After the nightmare start we didnt play that bad at all,and I thought on Saturday against PSG we were actually quite good. TBH I was fully expecting to get pumped by Arsenal, and the players did well to ensure it didnt get worse. we cant honestly expect our guys to go away from home and beat teams like Arsenal, Barcelona, Milan because thats just stupid considering the amount of talent and depth those teams have compared to ours. As I said, Get a grip and at least TRY to be realistic with your expectations.

looked pretty sharp when he came on today. Defnitely has the pace and pretty much ran the show around their defence. Looks like he's got a great first touch and can actually DRIBBLE. Kinda weird saying this but he has recovered from a few injuries but It feels like he's a new signing on his own. Hell, even McCulloch played well today. whats going on with the world?

I think if Naismith stays fit he can develop into a really good player and will turn out like a new signing now that he's fully fit and ready. Aaron should be able to break into the first team squad. He's a stand out in the Spanish U-21's and I dont understand whats holding him back. Mendes is more suitbale to the European style of play and I fully expect him to shine while Thomson and/or Edu will protect the back four who are already solid enough. Just need a bit of magic from Mcgregor and the right draws and TBH I can see us making the Quarters. Naismith may just prove me wrong this year - I'd written him off but his pre-season contribution's been impressive for sure. Be interesting to see how he fares tomorrow if he features. Aaron has so much potential and seems certain to play a bigger part this year - what little I saw last year was inspiring. Mendes has brief CL experience with Porto but barely featured in their CL campaign when they won it - for someone mooted as suiting the European club game, he's actually a bit of a novice. And I agree - I want McGregor back in. Think a squad like this for CL would do it: Mcgregor Whittaker Weir Bougherra Papac EDU Davis Mendes Thomson Aaron Miller/Lafferty Think we could even play a decent passing game with that trio in the middle, having Whittaker overlapping Davis on the right side to potentially go on one of his magical runs. It'd be awesome on the counter too because Mendes WILL have more time to put in the through balls and with Miller's pace it could be deadly. We're solid enough at the back so I have no worries there. If we get an injury if worse comes to worse we can move Edu back to centre back or have clubfoot cover at Right back and have Edu cover for his limited ability. Im not worried about Papac cuz he is seemingly immune to injuries. I'd use the left as an outlet for a player with good dribbling skills such as Aaron or Fleck. Have them running at defenders and putting balls to Mendes to let loose his Long Shots that we all know about. might be ok away from home, but Edu and Thomson in the same team is too negative, and who is going to score our goals? Need to play either 442 or 443 at home in my opinion. 4-4-3 ? are you suggesting that we dont play with a goalie then

think we should sign 'em up and give him a chance in a few cup games first and see how he does then if he impresses bring him through into the first team. Cant really go wrong seeing as he's free and wont be demanding a lot of wages. All I've heard though is that he's a midfielder. What type of midfielder? Playmaker, Winger, Holding? If he's a winger we're in desperate need so the least we could do is give the guy a shot.

TBH I think Mendes is more suited to the European play and we should be building up the play around him at least in europe. If we can get some magical performances from the back again and have thomson and everybody on the right page we should be able to make it no problem.

mcgregor is the better keeper by a mile EXCEPT if you take into account distrubition, but that can be worked on with coaches. He acted like an ass with Scotland but he has his reputation at stake here and is going to be going full force to prove his doubters wrong. He is proven in Europe and I think its an easy choice for #1. That being said Alexander has never done anything wrong for us and he should be given a chance to battle against smaller SPL teams like St.Mirren, Kilmarnock, or Hamilton and in cup games. I think this battle for the shirt will bring out the best in both keepers, and the rest of the team will feed off that.
