  1. I'm not sure what point you're trying to make here? I know the boy and I know his family. It's no secret that he went to Parkhead as a kid as they were his local team. Probably never had his bus fare to Ibrox as the family were poverty stricken. A "Massive Taig" to me is a Catholic that loves Celtic through and through - a beadrattler .... He's none of these. He'd jump at the chance of playing for us given the opportunity.
  2. Because competition for the best young talent is fierce and it's impossible to get them all. Also, a lot of parents prefer their kids to go to a lesser team where they have a better opportunity of making the grade.
  3. Depends on your definition of the word "Taig" He's a Prod.
  4. I remember the first time I saw him playing against us at Ibrox, outstanding he was. Reminded me in many ways of a young Paul Scholes. Certainly one we should be keeping tabs on.
  5. Good to hear from someone who has actually seen him play. Disappointed to hear Wylde was poor, seems to have lost his way.
  6. Exactly the point I'm trying to make. Dorrans and Snodgrass would be great signings but are out of our range now.
  7. Of course they would BUT NOT FOR LESS than they were getting elsewhere with better terms. The less said about our handling of the Goodwillie debacle the better.
  8. He's very highly rated with all the Scotland coaching staff and many believe he's the best thing we've produced in a very long time. Billy Stark described him as "terrific" and I'd be surprised if Ally didn't make a wee enquiry or two.
  9. I think you may be right but I would like to see us in about him. We should be looking to bring in all the best young Scottish players available.
  10. Fyvie's very good but he sustained a bad injury (knee ligament?) and I haven't heard much of him since. I don't know much about Allan but by all acoounts he's a bit special and I was hoping one or two of our resident experts... could help out.
  11. Dundee United's 19 year old midfield playmaker described as " The hottest property in Scottish football " completely ran the show last night as Scotland under 21's defeated Norway 3-0. Apparently Ally McCoist was at the game keeping an eye on one or two of our own youngsters but left very impressed with the kid from Glasgow. Anyone know anything about him?...... Is he a Bear.. Should we be looking to bring this boy in before the big clubs down South start taking an interest and his value soars. Your thoughts.....
  12. I've been told that we paid £350K for Ortiz, £650K for Goian and only £750K up front for Wallace with a further £700K to be paid over the next 2 seasons, which, if true, would mean we've taken in more than we've spent so far. The doubts over Whyte are growing and the only way to answer his critics is to start spending. A quality replacement for Bougherra and a striking partner for Jelavic would be a huge step in the right direction. The voices of dissent are growing and he must act soon.
  13. The 4 above all have talent but the only one I think with a real chance of making it is Ness. And I don't think it's just the youngsters at Chelsea we're looking at. I'm hoping Ally's got his eye on one or two experienced players on the fringe of the first team.
  14. Clapping our fans doesn't make him a Bear. He has previously stated that he preferred the yahoos to us, possibly just to spite his brother, who knows? But he did say it.
  15. Tim-lover's probably taking things a little too far. Terry stated that when him and his brother were kids, his brother always supported The Gers and being a little shit opted to support the dark side just to be different. Guy's a cunt.
  16. Someone throw him a rope, he's drowning.
  17. Not particularly, no. But I am enjoying handing you your own arse.
  18. So by your logic not denying something is the same as admitting it? Fuck me, I was only teasing you earlier but you really are as thick as fuck.
  19. Show me once where I've ever used that term. The floor's all yours.
