Much as it hurts me to say it our attempts in the transfer market are becoming a bit of an embarrassment. I'm all for haggling but when we're told by the selling club EXACTLY what price they want then we should put up or shut up.

Oh for a Cooper, a Walters, a Laudrup or as others have mentioned, Neil McCann, all capable of producing a wee bit of magic, players that got you off your seat. Templeton at Hearts would be a great signing but Hearts would want crazy money for him and I don't expect to see him at Ibrox any time soon. Davidson's a very good young player and could be one for the future. Wallace is very highly rated by anyone I know that follows Hearts. He's a young Scottish International and would be an excellent signing in my opinion. I'm convinced we'll sign Goodwillie and fully expect AT LEAST two others before the window closes. I know it's hard but we must have a little more patience.

Of course we can but it all depends on what type of budget we're talking about. But Miller has nothing to prove, he's been there and done it and given the opportunity can do it again next to Jelavic. Too many Rangers fans have never forgiven him for playing for them and that's the real crux of the matter - not his ability. Don't get me wrong, in a straight choice I'd opt for Goodwillie but only because his best days are still ahaead of him and his stock can only rise. But for any Rangers fan to say the thought of Miller returning depresses them, well. I just don't get it. The only ones that should be depressed about that are the mob he put to the sword time and time again. I can almost hear the rattling of the rosaries as I type.

Our track record in bringing in Centre backs is excellent and at £500K this one's a no-brainer. He plays in one of the best leagues in the world against some of the best players in the world and could be a real find. Unfortunately it may end our interest in Cuellar for the time being at least, we simply don't have a big enough pot. Goodwillie's obviously high on the list of "Ally's Most Wanted" and if the name "Estigarribia" is also up there then I think we're heading in the right direction. I can also see Eremenko coming in on a free which would be a great bit of business and if we can find one or two decent loan signings then I think we'll have a squad capable of making it 4IAR.

Reports from fans in Turkey suggest he's a decent enough player but not Rangers class. Not one I'm excited about to be honest.
