  1. I don’t see a pairing of Edu/Bartley/Davis/Naismith being able to win a battle personally.
  2. We would lose the midfield battle so it would be irrelevant.
  3. What makes you think he didn’t? Once the players them self invite it on, it is then very hard to change the game back in your favour if the other team have you pinned back. That isn’t a case of defying manager instruction that’s just the way the game works.
  4. Davis has been decent in a team that has underperformed from fron to back.
  5. He has learned a style of play to use in Europe. He already knew how to win domestic trophies. The stick Smith is getting lately is way way OTT. He has his faults, I aint in the “Watty is a legend and is untouchable group”. But a bit of realisation. He has been a better manager since he came back than when he was with us the first time. Had he been ……French…..and had three initials and managed us as he has since he came back, I wonder if he would get the same stick from the same people….
  6. Laffertys biggest problem is that he is an instinctive player. He can produce moments that are verging on close to the genius, maybe a bit OTT but hey ho. His finish against Hearts was sensational IMO. He isn’t a poacher or a natural goal scorer like Boyd. While the skill Boyd has is pretty much instinct and can’t be taught, you should be able to enhance that ability. Lafferty should be more productive around the 18 yard box than he is, there is a massive hole in his development, which you can either blame the player or management for.
  7. I will accept the lack of constructive response or patronising comment as a retraction of your original comment, glad to see that realisation has set in though.
  8. I will add stupid to the list of things I am happy to be then. Paul Lambert for Rangers managers, should be ashamed of yourself for making such a comment. I am stunned, genuinely stunned to see a Rangers fan suggest it, even if it was in jest. Which is must be, as no self respecting Rangers fan would seriously suggest that Paul Lambert take charge of Glasgow Rangers.
  9. It wasn’t worth debating yet it is worth trying to patronise. Fair does.
  10. Great guy, superb player. His coaching and managerial record isn’t great.
  11. I couldn’t give a f*ck. Paul Lambert comes from a “Rangers supporting family” yet signed for them. I would doubt I would be back at Ibrox as long as he was in charge – I am happy to be pathetic if not wanting Lambert as our manager is what makes me pathetic.
  12. Agree 100%. If McCoist is to take charge he should be judged as being his own man rather than Smiths assistant. The two, are completely different jobs.
  13. He could win the CL and I still wouldn’t want Paul Lambert in charge of Rangers.
  14. If we are going to go with someone other than McCoist can we at least come up with imaginative suggestions. Paul Lambert? FFS.
  15. Wingers playing their opposite wing has become quite fashionable. Villa in particular play Young and Downing on their opposite sides. The delivery of a right footer from the left can be deadly.
  16. I would hope that we would play a 4-5-1/ 4-3-3 With Barley and two others, Bartley will offer us a physical presence which is needed in an OF game. We don’t have two midfielders capable of playing central in a 4 man midfield IMO.
  17. Quite possibly, however not many have been able to put the plan in place to counter act it.
  18. I don’t think “the board” would be stupid enough to make such a decision.
  19. I didn’t think it was even close to watching a PLG team.
  20. To many players have escaped their share of the blame for our recent performances. It is easy to blame Smith and Weir for us “sitting deep”. If players were applying themselves correctly on the park, there would be no need for us to “sit deep”. One or two should take a look at EHD, if they went on the park with his attitude we would see a different team.
  21. It was constructive counter attacking football actually, and at times it was a joy to watch.
  22. Neither Edu or Lafferty have progressed in the way most hoped they would when they were signed. IMO management need to look at them self and ask why. As both have the tools to be decent players but look like they lack direction.
