  1. On the RST statement, don't have much to say. We released our statement and it's followup. Obviously some people have disagreements with that and I've taken their opinions on board. I've had talks with the rest of the people in RU (all of whom's contact info is available on our site, despite what some people continue to peddle about) and even Chris since last night because we're nice civil adults.
  2. Chris, you neg-repped me?!?! I'm hurt, mate. Never neg-repped anyone on here, even the fucking tims.....
  3. Only thing I have left to say, despite what the RST had to say, we did not walk out of the meeting. We were asked to leave after voicing opposition to the plan the plan they have set out to push through from the start. And yes, it does entail that anyone wanting to take part has to join RST.
  4. Better than your previous statements, thank you! Completing the take over of a club is not as easy as getting SD behind you and launching a new brand name for the same tired scheme every so often. GerSave... Save Rangers... Buy Rangers... Many names, same undelivered promise. We have done and are still doing the dirty work; if you want to stick by your word and give us time then I would personally be grateful. If you want to hop in the forum and slate us without knowing the facts then I'm going to respond. I'm really not trying to be rude to you, but the lies and propaganda filed against our group are going to stop. People say our names aren't out there, yet all of our details and an email you can contact us on are there. People say we've asked for money, and that is simply not true. And for the record, our basic plan has been in place and constantly developing for longer than the RST's current incarnation. It has made massive strides since February, and while we may have jumped the gun along the way (I'll be the first to admit it) our group is better constructed and more prepared to move forward than anything RFC has ever seen. If you are willing to give us the time it takes to put such wheels in motion, I do not believe you will be disappointed if majority fan ownership of our club is something you care about. And that is going to be all I'm going to say tonight. If anyone has not yet read it, the full statement is now available on the RU website: http://www.rangersunite.com/rangersunite-statement-28-august/ I was at my in-laws when the decision to release it was made or else I would've had it up sooner. Apologies for the delay.
  5. I think you misread where I made any reference to working with the RST toward the ends in the past tense. The statement was very clear about our intentions moving forward. As for the rest, your Dingwall-fed playbook on us has been heard before. All progress made in the initial meeting was ushered out at the utterance seemingly of one man and his friends on the executive. The RST has had a decade to deliver its promise. What they have given us is a 1500 member organization, most of whom signed up with lifetime memberships in the early days, and a board that has consistently splintered and divided the support over the past few years. If you're happy pitching in 10 quid a year and having a board pass resolutions in your name via proxy vote, feel free. The Trust is past it's sell-by date, as it's static membership total shows. If you call that a groundswell you're reading a different definition than me. It's not an axe-grinding show no matter how many times you want to shout it; it's fact. But feel free to take your shots at our group, mate. We're done lying down. We will deliver.
  6. I'm not going to get in a flame war here, just get a few simple facts out of the way: The RST reached out to us over a month ago to sit down and have a chat. We both felt at the time that 'competing' plans would not be in the best interests of the club and the fans. At our request, only executive directors of both groups were permitted to attend, which would exclude certain vocal board members of the RST. Independent observer(s) were invited to be present and report accordingly, and SD was along to begin molding the new formula. The meeting was, by all accounts, a smashing success and it looked as though in due time with the help of SD we would have a joint effort that all supporters who believe in fan ownership and what it can do to protect and provide for our club could get behind moving forward. The followup meeting, at the insistence of RST, featured all board members, which opened the door for those vocal parties to attend. The previously independent observer(s) were not so independent, and it was made clear that the amalgamation of plans proposed in the first meeting was not the in the plans of RST/SD at all. Nothing from the RU proposal would be taken on board, despite the indications that a joint effort was of the utmost importance prior. The subsequent meetings became a formality in the sense that everything that was said at the first meeting had obviously gone out the window. Bearing in mind a number of subsequent factors and revelations surrounding the discussions and issues at the club and you have our statement today, which if you take the time to read is quite concise and clear in its implications. We will release more information including our revised proposal and supporting documentation as soon as possible. We are still simply a group of dedicated supporters who work on this project in our time with our own funds. Anyone saying we asked for a penny is lying. Anyone who says you can't find out who we are is lying. Our names and emails are readily available on the website, which will be heavily updated over the next 24-72 hours to bring new information and detail to supporters everywhere. We had hoped to still find common ground with the RST but it has been made apparent that they feel their plan as it stands is the only true option, and we simply do not believe that is the case. All I've got to say for now.
  7. http://www.heraldsco...angers.18397998 Wouldn't mind getting hold of their scouting network before this window closes
  8. NARSA clubs got the RTV. Bit disappointed there wasn't a clear explanation as to why it's not open to all. Had I known, I would've gotten into the city for this afternoon.
  9. I deedn't know you were licensed to operate one of those!
  10. Yeah, I saw this going around and went to a couple people I consider reliable. Both said "yes" then one backtracked once we had it up, so I'm going to say not the case until we can hear for sure.
  11. Number going round twitter now is 35k
  12. An owner with his ego first? Yeah, we know nothing about that... It may be more of a Gretna-type story, but that makes it no better for the supporters. And guess what bank crops up in this sorry tale??? Off Tiger Talk, a TCFC forum. Edit: sorry for the formatting shitshow there
  13. It's got an air current issue too, much like the new Wembley, which is why they replace the pitch about 35 times a year it seems.
  14. I hear Bomber threw the haymaker that brought the fisticuffs to an end
  15. All Heaney, mate. Utter scum. A million pieces would have to go into a friendly, but fuck me would it be epic.
  16. Heaney is a bit of SDM and Whyte rolled into one: overpaid to chase a level of football this club could never support at its current level, and is putting at risk 113 years of history for the sake of his ego.
  17. Stewart Yetton ‏@StewartYetton 113 years of history is more important than anything else but it is hard for us players to be in this position Stewart Yetton ‏@StewartYetton It's been an emotionally difficult evening but irrespective of what happens the most important thing is that the club survives #hope Matt Burt ‏@Matt_Burt_ @StewartYetton What, if anything, can fans do to help? #SaveTruroCityFC #savetrurocity Lot more: https://twitter.com/...23savetrurocity It's been coming for some time, but their owner kept saying it wouldn't/couldn't happen. Think we know what those words mean from someone in his position.
  18. 1) If this is completely Bears' Den inappropriate, no issues. Just thought it would get prime exposure here and is a tale any Bear knows too well now. 2) I'm trying to do this from my mobile at the hospital, so I hope it works out right. Some of you may know Truro City have faced more than one winding up order over the past year or so. Tonight it's looking like they may go to the wall. As a Rangers supporter, after what we've been through, my heart goes out to their fans and employees. I had one of the other CRO guys write up a release for me earlier and I hope everyone will give it a read and reach out to these fans who may be watching the final hours of their club when they should be prepping for a second season in the Conference South.
