  1. If it is infact a family issue then he should and will be given all the time thats needed, and whatever it may be I hope its resolved quickly. Right now we’ve been told he’s out injured so i’ll take the club’s official stance on it, and the words from his mouth, rather than rumours. Thats why I asked the question.
  2. What is the issue, i havent read about it and cant find anything on it?
  3. Has the Manager at any point said or even hinted that its a family issue?
  4. Davies has barely played, King is 19, Hellander is out for fuck knows how long, Souttar is a slight gamble due to his injury record. We have numbers, but not the quality required available. I take your point and despite it being more about the actual squad depth and quality, we were mad not offer Balogun a short term reduced deal given the circumstances. Hardly going to send our debt spiralling out of control
  5. I forgot about Simpson, you’re right, we let 4 go
  6. We lost the league last season by the way. No one thinks we have a magic wand, but lots believe we brought in far more cash in the last year than we ever budgeted for. So to push the boat out a little in order to increase our chances of winning the league and qualifying for the Champions League again isnt really that far fetched. we sold 2 of our best players and brought in 7. The team that won the league last year kept all their best players and brought in 9. Mental eh
  7. Katic? Souttar replaced Balogun? John Souttar cannot play left side centre back and is a gamble. His injury record is worse than Hellanders and thats saying something. excuse my ignorance, but can someone tell what the script is with Davies? Ive read “family issues” a few times but dont know anything about it.
  8. We wouldnt have 5 spare CB’s, we’d have 4, one of which is a young boy coming though, another might not kick a ball again for us, and a further one who’s had injuries all through his career. We have 2 who naturally play on the left side of CB and funnily enough, one of them is the one I metioned earlier who has played most of his career taking injections and has been sideline for months. As ive said about 3 times now CB is probably not the best example to use as its more about the squad depth and quality.
  9. Barasic and Yilmaz cover one position, Goldson and Sands is two. I’m not even convinced Sands was originally playing in there as he didnt last season. We’ve let 3 CB’s go and replaced them with 2. And as I said in my previous post, CB probably isnt the best example to use, but the squad in general lacks quality and depth in comparison to theirs.
  10. No i didnt disagree players were rested, I disagreed that we played Jack there to becuase of it. We played Jack there because, after resting 2 CB’s we’re left with fuck all. If Goldson gets injured this weekend, and Sands gets sent off, who’s playing at CB the following game? I take your point that we have 3 out, so CB is probably not the best area ro use as an example. But for all we know they will all be out for the foreseeable. In general terms, our squad is inferior to theirs. By some distance. Strongest 11 is debatable, but squad depth and quality is not.
  11. How is it? A year and a half ago you’d struggle to get a single player of theirs into our team. I dont think the same can be said now.
  12. As above, we rested 2 CB’s and had to play a CM in there. You speculate to accumulate. No one expected us to go and spend all the money we’ve made, few are daft enough to believe that would ever work. But when you rake in £30M+ in transfers, reach a European Cup Final, and then qualify for the Champions league after failing to win the league, its not that bizarre to think we should invest in the team to give it a fair crack on all fronts. I dont think we’ve done that. The Nathan Patterson money alone has covered just about all our transfers. I dont believe that squad is good enough to play Champions League group stages, and 2 cups, and win the league. I obviously hope I’m completely wrong, but right now i dont see it.
  13. Exactly that, we rested 2 CB’s and had to play a centre mid at CB
  14. No, we were rotating the squad and giving them a break, and we had to sink to Ryan Jack at CB levels.
  15. No, Jack played at CB because we didnt have any other fit CB’s to play along side King. “Its not great” is an understatement, but for the purposes of the discussion no more than “its not great” is required. We’ve just been to a Europan Cup Final and then Qualified for the Champions League and we’ve had a hugely underwhelming transfer window, yet again. We’re miles off of them In every department. Hoping we might get lucky over the course of the season is both worrying and stupid in equal measures.
  16. We’ve absolutely fucked it, you’d have to be fuckin blind to think otherwise. Not for the first time by the way. Is the new transfer and business model? If so, its fuckin absolute baws.
  17. Its highly concerning that we seem to be of the opinion that we’re good to go for the season.
  18. The bit where I gave you a reason why? No arguments here pal, just drop the upset patter its the worst. I’m excited to watch the team, i’m no the one criticising it😂
  19. Ahhh the old classic “i’m talking pish again, how can I deflect”😂
  20. Its taken me about 15 years to realise that if, as Rangers fan, you want to nit pick about absolutely anything at all then this is the place to be.
  21. Blood new talent? Have you seen the starting 11? You dont think the spine of the team is experienced for a reason? Next season when he’s the number 2?
