Rio Ferdinand the racist.
PaddockLoyal replied to ForeverBlue_Since91's topic in General Football & Sport
You are quite right to be fair. Nobody is offended on Cole's behalf. They are offended that a nice white chap like John Terry can't use a good old phrase like 'black cunt' while the evil Ferdinand can laugh about the term 'Choc Ice' amongst his pals. IT'S POLITICAL CORRECTNESS GONE MAD. -

If you are seriously comparing the terms "choc ice" and "black cunt" then maybe it's you lads that need a wee nudge here? -

So it's the "hypocrisy" of laughing at his mate being called a choc ice that bothers you then? -

Ferdinand has said a lot of things that make me think he is an uneducated prick, but laughing at someone else calling Ashley Cole a Choc Ice really isn't up there. I really don't see any hypocrisy either. Cole is his mate and doesn't give two fucks about this. Nice of people to be offended on his behalf though. -

As if calling someone a Choc Ice is racist. There are some sensitive souls on here. -
I'd say Khan was beaten for a completely different reason last night than against Peterson. The Peterson defeat was down to his inability to fight inside. He was beaten by Garcia because he fights in predictable straight lines, he just comes in and out all the time. Garcia was the first hard-hitting counter-puncher he has faced and it was only a matter of time until a decent shot landed. Khan gets a lot of stick (and he does bring it on himself at times) but I have alot of respect for the way he kept getting up and showed willing to carry on, even when it was clearly over for him. Very surprised his corner didn't pull him out of there.

David Haye vs. Derek Chisora
PaddockLoyal replied to jdocherty72's topic in General Football & Sport
Chisora pretty much played into Haye's hands by coming forward all the time. I think those ridiculous punches that Chisora was trying to throw cost him in the end. He threw one right before the killer blow from Haye, resulting in him being wide open with his chin hanging out. He had to get Haye into those late rounds to stand a chance. He just didn't have enough intelligence when it came down to it. -

I expect Haye to try and land something big early. He will want Chisora to be rushing onto him and he will be looking for the big power shot. If Chisora is wobbled, Haye will lay on the pressure for an early stoppage and probably get it. If Chisora can take his shot? Could be a long night for Haye and he will almost certainly revert to running all night. The smart fight for Chisora would be to stink the place out by staying on the back foot and keeping out of range for the first 4 rounds or so, then bring the pressure in the late rounds and expose Haye's dodgy stamina. Problem is that I don't think Del Boy has the brains or the skills to execute a fight plan like that. -

Supposedly this fight is only going to be 10 rounds. Hope this isn't true. I will have lost even more respect for Haye if this is the case. -
You can read his Police interview here: link The Police seem to believe that Ferdinand made a reference about Terry shagging his team mates missus, to which Terry replied: Only the use of the word 'yours' cannot be proven by the look of it, due to his mouth being obstructed on the only available camera footage. A lip-reader believes the rest to be true. Terry claims he said: He claims this to be in exclamation after Ferdinand accused him of calling him 'a black cunt'. Terry is therefore denying that the lip-reader is correct in thinking he says the 'and'. I'm not sure how reliable lip-readers are considered to be by magistrates but that could be crucial to the outcome.

You can watch the 24/7-style build-up programmes on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANpww7dwxdQ I quite like Del Boy but Haye is too slick for him to land those big winged hooks. Chisora has a good enough chin to make it into the later rounds. I expect Haye to hurt him eventually though. -
