  1. He's not. That was a retweet from Chris McLaughlin at the BBC.
  2. I think Beattie will be given one final chance at the start of the season whilst the transfer window is still open. Then when Ally realises he's useless he'll be booted.
  3. Two million Euros I believe, pretty glad we didn't blow that on him to be honest.
  4. http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk:80/sport/editor-s-picks/rangers-sweat-as-hemed-deal-stalls-1.1106930 Rangers hopes of signing Israeli international Tomer Hemed are today hanging in the balance. SportTimes understands Ally McCoist’s bid to make Hemed his first signing could be scuppered by new interest from La Liga outfits Real Mallorca and Espanyol. The Ibrox club held extensive talks with Hemed’s agent Max Meltzer yesterday and tabled an £8,000-per- week three-year deal. But the Spanish hijack counter offer is thought to be almost double that of Rangers’ package. McCoist had hoped to lure 24-year-old Hemed to Scotland today for a tour of Ibrox and Murray Park, but Israeli sources have revealed that the player is refusing to leave Israel to discuss the deal which is a bottom line and not subject to add-ons. Meltzer will continue talks with McCoist and owner Craig Whyte at Murray Park today. But the SPL champs will have to significantly up their offer if they want to avoid losing Hemed to La Liga.
  5. Leeds United, Leicester City and Watford could be joined by Cardiff City and other Championship clubs in the race to sign Craig Conway, but Rangers are now out of the bidding for the out-of-contract Dundee United and Scotland winger. (Daily Express)
  6. This is off. Genoa just paid 4.5 million for him. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=it&u=http://www.calciosport24.it/2011/06/11/genoa-preso-andreas-granqvist/&ei=ZmrzTc6fKcLLhAfqp-X1Bg&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=2&ved=0CCQQ7gEwAQ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dandreas%2Bgranqvist%2Bgenoa%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26client%3Dsafari%26rls%3Den%26biw%3D1366%26bih%3D625%26prmd%3Divnso
  7. I watched his game against Latvia last week and he seemed more than good enough for our first team. Excellent hold-up play and he even set up a goal. Bring him in.
  8. So he's found 55 players?! Been a very busy boy. Bartley would be a good start!

  10. "Napoli can’t and mustn’t enter the Champions League with players such as Emilson Cribari, Salvatore Aronica and Michele Pazienza as they are simply not good enough for the top level of European competition." Extract from Serie A weekly, doesn't sound promising!
  11. Yes, you're correct. The system is based on your European record over the last five years, and those three teams haven't exactly been making waves. I'm pretty sure without investment though they'd easily be beating us for first second or third in most groups!
  12. We're in Pot 3, but that doesn't make it any easier with the likes of Dortmund, Lille and Napoli in Pot 4!
  13. I don't think any changes in co-efficients matter until the season after, which is why we have to qualify this season because Scottish teams did poorly overall in 09/10.
