Saw on FF someone saying there were approx 1200 applications for approx 600 seats. I would imagine there will be a decent number not applying because they didn't think they'd get a place, but I'd be surprised if there was enough demand for a singing section to ever go beyond the bottom of the Copland.
If he does what he did on Saturday, he can be the match winner. He often goes on runs that look quite good and achieve nothing before he loses the ball. Twice he moved the ball quickly - once the pass before the cross for Tav’s goal and then the cross for Dessers. If he does that on Sunday he’ll rip them apart, if he tries to be smart and think it’s all about him, he’ll be a man down.
Well, he wasn’t wrong tbf, he said this at half time. Couldn’t possibly have seen any stills, etc, by then. The interpretation of the rules by var seems to be correct, but the only evidence we can see, which seems to be one still, says otherwise.
Well, look at it another way. From the still on the tweet, it looks as if his foot is partially over the line. As it’s just a still (unless there’s anything else) that still could easily show the players foot in the air above the line. That’s not encroachment.
I’ve literally just commented on that. I’m saying why the penalty wasn’t retaken. I’ve quoted the rule, and said why it wasn’t given.
If you want to tell me to use my own eyes, I’d suggest you do the same thing. I said ‘the ref and var decided that it was only Wright that encroached’. I didn’t say, I decided that, did I? A ref told me why it was disallowed. The rules back that up, if it’s deemed only Wright encroached - that’s what var appear to have decided.
I’d rather Scotland did well, but when they lose I don’t feel remotely fussed about it. I took my boys to the Costa Rica friendly a few years and I’ve never felt so uninterested in a match I’ve attended. I felt no attachment to the team or the fans.
Having said that I won’t criticise anyone for supporting them and going to the games, but as for those who didn’t think they’re Rangers fans - that’s more embarrassing than supporting Scotland could ever be.
