  1. American sporting venues always have marching bands and displays - usually local and community bands pandering to the home crowd and interspersing local themes with shows of patriotism and appreciation of their armed forces. What would be the problem with Rangers doing the same? Can you think of anything to increase the crowd and the atmosphere than a flute band supplying pre-match and half-time entertainment and playing the teams on to the field of play? I for one cannot see the point that the sanitisation our repertoire has undergone through the years to satisfy the blood lust of our detractors - ably abetted by the fifth columnists within our ranks. Give the punters what they really want Mr Ashley - you know it makes sense
  2. Alan Harris - recently removed from the fans's board -is appearing on the show tonight He will explain what has been happening before a Q & A section Could be worth a listen
  3. I thought that Edmiston Drive (the much missed and much maligned Edmiston Drive) was a sore loser, but you trumped him on that Gogzy
  4. The last 4 contestants are required fo the quiz to make up the numbers for the quarter finals. The prize is a ticket for the game away to Hearts http://www.rangerschat.com/index.php
  5. Put on your big girls' panties and man the fuck up - stop whinging - the rules were adhered to. Ballochger, you can skype in from abroad for free
  6. Breaking News: Tonight's show will see the next round of the ever popular quiz, The grand prize will be a ticket for the Hearts game at Tynecastle on the 22Nd of this month. The prize has been generously donated by Rangers Bulldog. We will be looking for 4 contestants this evening startind at approx 21:30 Call 0141 356 1872 or use the skype call button at the top of the home page http://www.rangerschat.com/index.php
  7. Carson's Army - maximum respect to you for being on this thread after the despicable way you were treated on last night's quiz. It was apparent to anyone listening that there was spivvery at work. It was utterly shameful. The only thing that you won was rock, paper, scissors - this must have been a first for radio. Personally I wanted the contestants to play rock, paper, scissors, lizard, spock, but I was overruled
  8. It does give an element of melodrama - with a soupçon of je ne sais quoi It may get a few more listeners that way
  9. An extract from Tom Miller’s book “Slim Jim – Simply the best” Soured for me on two levels Serialised in the Rangers’ baiting Daily Record/Sunday Mail The ludicrous statement “Another self-confessed Rangers fan, from a slightly later era to Baxter’s heyday, is writer and broadcaster Graham Spiers.”
  10. An excellent summation D'Art. The nettle needs to be grasped - it's not a case of not being able to afford sacking the current management regime, we can't afford to keep them. The 30k + crowd on Monday night will soon be plummet to under 10k given the product on display. If Ally was the "real Rangers" man that he purports to be he would do the decent thing and fall on his sword. On planet reality however he will hang on for dear life to his over inflated salary and wait for his pay off - then to run to his friends in the media to sell his story and soul as a precursor to his tell all book. The man lives in his own little bubble and probably thinks he is doing a marvelous job - we as a support need to point out the truth to him.
  11. Alan S Harris, who is the representative on the fans board for the away fans group is appearing on the show tomorrow night after 9:30. He will be outlining his function and doing a Q & A afterwards
  12. Having listened to Elfideldo on the Rangerschat show many times (always saying that there is never first team coaches at youth games - what's the chance of them being watched playing for other teams?) and with the information I have been given by a very reliable source over the past week, I think Ally is proving himself to be a mendacious coward. Last season; winning the league with 7 games to spare he would rather inflate his own ego with his "invincible" tag line than give youth a chance. Invincible in the 3rd tier of Scottish football is a joke and our manager is a clown
  13. An excellent opening piece by Trublu, putting things into perspective fro the viewpoint of the common man - not the sound bites of the professional politician
  14. As regular listeners will testify to, I am for giving the current management team a fair chance on a level playing field to prove themselves. Promotion this season and 2 seasons in the premier league with resulting forays into Europe should give the nucleus of a team for a well grounded Barry Ferguson to step forward and lead us to the promised land. Rome was not built in a day - keep the faith
  15. Another excellently penned piece D'Art. As you have aptly titled this, we as a support must keep up the heat - yourself, PZJ and FTH put most of us to shame. Let's mobilise behind these standard bearers fellow bears!
  16. Get voting people - get it out on twitter and facebook - finishes tonight - http://www.mixcloud.com/onlineradioawards/
  17. http://www.rangers.c...club-membership Major discussion point for Rangerschat call in tonight - http://www.rangerschat.com/index.php Feel free to call in and discuss
  18. · This fills me with dread, I fully expect the inter fan group war to worsen for the following reasons 1. The backgrounds of this nominations committee will be examined with a fine tooth comb 2. The infighting for short listed nominations will be a bloodbath 3. The electioneering prior to voting will be a real dirty tricks campaign 4 The results will be decried as foul by those defeated 5 Sleepers will be put in by well known fanspivs
  19. I should be committed getting up to watch this - I need to be sectioned
  20. Not me, I was banned for racism because I made a joke about Packy Bonner and the pink Q.C.' demise Racism FFS
  21. I'll ensure that this receives traction on Rangerschat. A great idea
  22. Due to there being no games in the world cup until Friday, tonight and tomorrow's shows shall be at 9:00 pm and will be mainly Rangers related with perhaps a little bit of world cup catch up. http://www.rangerschat.com/index.php
  23. Absolutely brilliant - bang on the money. If you have no objection I'm going to use that at every opportunity
