  1. I was very disappointed by the weather today. Camera had trouble picking up the ball as we swept from sunshine into shade and back again ;) .

I'd like Mr Warburton to alter our tactics on sunny days to only attack down one wing at a time. Consideration to us RTV subscribers from overseas, you see.

Your post count is perfect, never post again :D

  2. As much as I may not like this thread at this moment in time, you don't just turn up when you're team are playing well. You support the team no matter what.

Last Season was brutal, but it makes this Season all the more worthwhile.

    This for me.

There's a feeling of euphoria because of how bad we were last season but that's what makes it so much sweeter.

Still think this thread should be deleted though

  3. I honestly think I could walk in on Warburton shagging my burd up the arse after he's pished on my grandas ashes and I'd still love the guy.

If you videoed it, I'd pay to watch it :)

What's even better for me is watching the appreciation of the players to the support at the end, huge respect between the players and the support

  4. Think he'll constantly rotate. Said a few times that rotating isn't weakening.

It's what annoys me about the standard for most managers, a settled unchanged team is a better team...

Players need game time and as MW says, he wants a hungry team, there's no point in having 2 players for every position if there's a player who can't see a place in the team unless another is injured

  5. Bruce is an accomplished man, my mate when he was trying to get into the scottish fencing team would often see him at tournaments (Bruce is/was a fencer too).

My mate said he turned up at a fairly low level event in Glenrothes about 25 years ago just to watch

  6. I think it's a weak move, you don't. We shall have to agree to disagree :)

I dn't want an admission of guilt " in essence" I want it in bloody print for all to see.

You'll only see that if a complaint is taken all the way to the BBC trust, even then, do you think the BBC would actually admit they are biased against an organisation? They'd apologise for a specific complaint instance and not institutional bias over a period of years.

I too would like them to apologise and say "sorry, we're a bunch of biased, hateful bastards" but it's not going to happen.

The club had an opportunity with the video editing of Ally, to properly highlight their bias to London but the board at that time did next to fuck all

  7. He should stay banned, they have other journos they could be sending, it doesn't HAVE to be him.

Weak move IMO, I'd have rather we told them to go take a fuck to themselves.

It's not "weak" at all. Do you honestly think Rangers have just accepted "ok, you weren't biased at all, welcome back" or actually went cap in hand to the BBC begging them back?

Of fucking course not. I don't like the fact the club is using diplomatic language but it's plain to see, we've been given assurances that from now on they won't be reporting in a biased manner. In essence they've admitted guilt.

  8. Jesus christ, just seen this thread. Foderingham is way better than Bell, way, way better.

The formation and tempo the team is being told to play will always see the keeper likely to misplace passes. That's because the keeper is expected to play out from the back as soon as possible, to feet.

He made one misplaced pass today, he came out and caught several crosses today in the air. How does that compare to Bell from last season?

This thread should be deleted because it's so utterly shite

  9. I'm agreeing with what you say, the manager has to be the exemplar of what the club is about but it has to be from top to bottom, the whole club has to have the same ethos.

If I'm being honest and again negative, in my 30 years watching Rangers we've been rudderless. We've won countless trophies but for most of that I've not been excited how we played football. Our run in the UEFA cup was brilliant but not for the football we played, there were moments of footballing brilliance but we were mostly backs against the wall defending.

I'm actually really bitter at the lack of progression during those dominant Murray years (and the european fuck ups), I always thought we should have been doing then what we are doing now, a focus on youth and skillful football.

The thing is, Walter didn't have a strategic plan where everyone knew what they were doing, he bought players rather than develop them - what we have now is a coaching set up playing the same way from youth level so that players can learn the system and the know the positions well before first team experience, once that has been implemented added to the statistical approach of the management, it should be possible to attract a manager/coach to utilize these mechanisms. Using ally as a example is completely disregarding what Warburton is working towards here imo

  10. I'm soaking it all up, the atmosphere outside and inside the ground was just brilliant against st boo. I guess all I'm saying is I hope we never change this attitude towards football we have now.

I should probably delete this thread now, if I could :D

You could well be right Jim but let's just soak it up for a while before we start wondering about him leaving!
I've not felt so utterly delighted as a Rangers fan in years! We could see some amazing stuff this season

  11. Ok so I am a bit of a pessimist, for me it keeps me sane when sometimes things turn out the way they do....

Don't anyone think I'm about to jump off a bridge and please don't flame me because I know we're just 2 games into the season and at the start of a brand new and exciting era.

I started to think we've won a watch with both our new management and board of directors and that they're finally switched on to what the majority of the support have always wanted i.e. a complete and radical change in football philosophy providing entertainment to us, the support.

Now this is the bit which might make me look a sandwich short of a picnic, I've started to think if MW and DW continue to show the promise they've shown, get us back to the top challenging for the league and playing a part in Europe, all with a small budget and playing attractive football, we'll have to face the inevitability that "bigger" clubs will come looking.

That's life and we've a long way to go yet but in years to come I hope we see this as the turning point for Rangers. The point in time when we showed the blueprint to the rest of Scottish football this is how football should be played, how a club should be run and how to encourage and promote skillful football.

Again, I know MW and DW have just started and though I might seem I'm looking to when they leave, I just want to see the next 5, 10, 15 etc years use what we're seeing now as the legacy.

Time to put on my tinfoil hat :D
