We were a basketcase when he came, an absolute basketcase. That bad that even Deadly Del knocked us back. Gerrard has overseen us in some great results and runs in Europe, made us Champions and we're 4 points clear. Sure he could have done better in cups, sure we could be playing better just now, but he's done great for us, indeed we're victims of our own success, as in clubs wanting our Manager. Timing is bad, very bad, but it is what it is. I think it's a cert he's away, sadly, and it does leave a bad taste, but thanks for what you done for us. My fear is players not buying into a new Manager if it's someone like Mcinnes.

We can't have a 'make do' until the end of the season. This season is massive, massive. Board can't do much if Gerrard wants to go, and i can't see him not, do a Moyes or Rodgers, then nailed on for Liverpool. But if the board can't give us someone the team can buy into and respect, play for, then that's bad, very bad. They'll know if he's staying or going, they have time. And we're a much better proposition now for a Manager. With Gerrard it'll be - 'Rangers are a huge Club, support great, hard to leave, really enjoyed it, left the club in a much better place' etc etc. Which will all be true, but we need someone of quality and presence in, that the players will react too! I fear many will be pissed off and maybe a bit disinterested if/when he leaves. I mean, the taigs are not great, can still win the league if this is handled right.

Villa are a mid table EPL team with potential. Look at what Moyes or Rodgers are doing with 'lesser' teams. If Gerrard went and done the same, he'd be a stick on for Liverpool, clearly his dream job. I'd be surprised if offered, then he didn't go, sadly.
