  1. your right; but the GP is so boring.......
  2. ah, the poetical words, the forceful use of internet shouting, the cleverly reasoned argument. I'm pround to stand beside such a bear....
  3. touchy lot of little bheasts we have on here this morning.....
  4. ..it was worn at derry, aughrim, enniskillen and the boyne...and its on the 12th i love to wear the sash my father wore... i know the song, i enjoy it and can sing it and there are plenty of places in NI and glasgow where its welcomed. but the falls road aint one of them. in those circumstances its sectarian. and in those circumstances i am ashamed to see rangers fans associated with it. oh, and i love the descriptive use of the english colloquialisms...
  5. and this is good news ? How ? if Sky pull the plug it do we think they will rush back once we are back in the top league (or SPL or whatever) ? this will affect us as well....
  6. in the history of the SPL (ie since 1998); maybe, just maybe it is ! (if proven of course). In the history of the scottish game ? no, of course not. What will give the "worst offence" rating is if it is seen to be systemic, deliberate, multi-season breech of the rules. That when the shit hits the fan.
  7. couple of points to consider; its nothing to do with paying or not paying players; its to do with incorrect registration of players (ie dual contracts which are expressly forbidden), therefore the precedent is not Hearts and their non-payment punishments, its actually Spartans and their getting thrown out of the scottish cup one year for having an incorrect date on their paperwork. And, assuming that is the case (and i hope its not), the fault is entirely entirely our fault; its no defence to say "ah but he should have seen it", its any businesses responsibility to have their legal paperwork correct.
  8. i think there may be an entirely different agenda going on. Anybody wonder why Platini and co are in favour of a multinational league for the small states in eastern europe ? how many clubs will qualify from that league for the champions league ? 1, maybe 2 ? thats instead of the champions (and sometimes second place teams) of all the independnate countries. So suddenly thetere are 4 or 5 places spare to give to the big teams in EPL/ Spain/Italy ? I do not belive that the Champions league will disappear in the short to medium term, but UEFA will look at ways to have more teams from the elite leagues and fewer from the small national leagues. we join an Atlantic league with Norway, belgium, holland, portugal; how many teams qualify for the champions league from that ? 1 or 2 ? maybe 3 ? would we be sure of winning or being runners up every year against the likes of ajax, porto etc ? more places for teams from the "elite" leagues ? sometimes we should be careful of what we wish for, once we are back at the top in scotland, we are guarenteed champions league football probably 2 years in 3 (maybe 3/3 depending on the co-efficients)? there needs to be a lot of careful thinking about this....
  9. that is the bit that makes me nervous; are we ? if we just do some very rough math; 40,000 season tickets at £200 each is £8M income, add various other sponsorship deals, hospitality profit, cup games etc are we could have an income of £10M ? £12M ? From that we have to pay the the running costs of Ibrox, Auchenhowie etc and the players and management team salaries. Charles has given a salary figure of £6M for the players, add maybe £2M for the management team ? leaving £2-4M to run Ibrox, travel costs, police costs, training costs etc etc Is that enough ? I dont know but i suspect its borderline. Anyone that has better finnancial information can easily update the numbers but i am worried that Charles needs the IPO for running costs.maybe not for this year, but for the summer and into next year. Hopefully i am wrong .....
  10. don't worry fellow bears and bearettes; we are in a tough league, its early doors, the team hasn't bedded down yet, the fixture list hasn't been kind to us, the players aren't fully match fit, we are only 2 points off the top, we are cementing a play off place, stirling is a tough place to go for any team, other teams will drop points as well, our manager is young, or manager is still finding his feet in this league, the players are under pressure to perform every week. Any other excuses i have missed out ? (and yes, i am joking, that was terrible today)
  11. i agree, the players won the titles on the field; but if the SFA decide they were improperly registered, the games are awarded 3-0 against us. but neither you nor i will change anything on this case so lets not argue ?
  12. you do realise that EBT's and title stripping talk by the tims are not related ? sure, we had more money and better players and made lots of folk jealous but the issue is not ebts; thats a tax issue, its the question over were they dual contracts; which is against the SFA rules. if not then they can whistle for any titles. if yes, then thats more worrying.
  13. and its a NO from me also. we are a scottish team, playing in scotland so should have the saltire flying. also part of GB so should have the union flag flying alongside the saltire, but thats all.
