  1. That would indicate that the board didn't cave-in .....
  2. It would be interesting to see if MW's approach results in less counter-attacks versus whipping one in..
  3. An overwhelming majority of corners result in absolutely nothing statistically....short corners or balls into the box.
  4. No...it pulls folks out of the box and creates space for our smaller attackers to use our quickness to get a foot on the ball.
  5. Good stuff... This will help his development and hopefully get him into The USA team quicker. Win win win for all parties
  6. Poorly written article and not a lot of new info. Instead of regurgitating what has already been posted all over forums, why not talk about how these two potentially new Mids will impact the starting 11 and the combinations we could see?
  7. Mixed reactions on it. I see the benefits of the move for Gedion ....playing in a 4-3-3, playing in a more physical league, and playing football the right way with the ball on the ground but the level of play in the English Championship is way above the 2nd Division in Scotland (even better than the Scottish Premier League) so if he can get a loan there, that will help him a lot to get him prepared for the next World Cup for the USA.
  8. I would tend to agree. They have signed quite a few from SPL teams the past year or so and I am sure they get good value. We unsettled him and they came in with a better offer of cash and loanees so fair play. We will get ours and they will get theirs. In the end, how they play on the field with 10 teammates will decide who made the better choices.
  9. I have used Puffin for my IPad and have had zero issues with RTV
  10. He was waiting for his USA citizenship which was affected due to him going to London to play for Arsenal at 16. This delayed things until a few months ago.
  11. I see this as a positive for him to get into the US team quicker because MW and Klinnsman play a very similar 4-3-3 and it will get him used to some of the hacking/physical play when the USA plays against Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, and Mexico. All pretty hostile places to visit where things get chippy all the time.
  12. Dempsey doesn't play in a true striker role ...he plays as a withdrawn striker or as the attacking central mid behind two holding mids......they play with one target/holdup striker (like Johannsson or Altidore). This kid would be good either on the wings or as an attacking central
  13. FYI: USA fans have mixed reactions to the news with most fans arguing that this would not be good for the kids development. http://www.sbisoccer.com/2015/08/nearing-scottish-rangers.html
  14. I think he is being groomed by Klinnsman for Clint Dempsey's spot on the US National Team once Clint hangs it up. He would fit nicely in the USA's 4-3-3.
  15. Klinnsman's son is a GK in the US National Team pool. Plays soccer in college in CA and has represented the USA already at the youth level.
  16. Born in Germany and then his parents immigrated to the USA. Lived in the USA from ages 9-15 when he went to London to play for the Gunners. He said that his family and friends are in the USA so they were the only option for him at the senior level.
  17. He is rated very highly with the US National Team and has been invited to a few senior camps with Klinnsmann.
  18. It is the 2nd to last defender..always....no matter if it is the keeper or not.
  19. Who blamed King? Are you fucking retarded? I blamed the fans for not buying outspending Celtic on season tickets. That what needs to be done in order for us to be the top club in Scotland, right??
  20. Besides, its the Ranger's Fans fault that they didn't spend enough for season tickets....its not Dave Kings fault.
  21. Yes, but those 20% in the SOS/UOF are a noisy bunch...
  22. Will be interesting to see if boycotting Hibs turns out to be harder for them than boycotting their own club during a time of need.
  23. And yet, this year, sales of Barcelona kits are surpassing the combined sale of kits for both Rangers and Celtic in Scotland.
  24. Its a valid question... where is JJB now in terms of their business and how likely is it that they give Rangers (or any club) that sort of contract now?
  25. When the JJB contract was signed, the club was in the top league in Scotland and playing in the Champions League making runs into the group stage. When JJB asked to terminate the agreement and SD came in, we were relegated to the 3rd division and banned from European Football for at least 3 years. Comparing Apples to bananas.... BTW: That deal did not work out too well for JJB, did it?
