  1. STATEMENT Posted by Admin 3 | May 19, 2021 | Uncategorized | 0 | Having taken stock of events during the last few days of the political and media coverage with commentary we update our members as follows. Grand Master Statement The Grand Orange Lodge of Scotland note with alarm and dismay the First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and former Justice Minister Humza Yousaf’s reaction to three mass gatherings within the city of Glasgow recently. Clear and obvious political bias is demonstrated in their public condemnation of gatherings that breached covid guidelines. Politicians actively encouraged people to gather in support of protests to disrupt the lawful removal of people from Glasgow following a lengthy court process who have no legal right to be there. The gathering at Ibrox and George Square on Saturday similarly breached covid guidelines. The response from the former Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf in particular, clearly demonstrated his and the Scottish Government’s double standards when he mentions anti Catholic prejudice yet ignores attacks on Scottish Orange Halls. He has once again criticised Rangers FC for not amplifying their message to supporters prior to Saturday. What is his agenda? The former justice minister has failed to publicly condemn anti Protestant attacks on Scottish Orange Halls. There have been arson attacks, paint bomb attacks and vile anti Protestant and anti-Semitic graffiti which were not commented upon or publicly condemned. Neither was any support or assistance offered to the minority Protestant community that Orangemen and women belong to. One Scotland many cultures is laughable when this Government discriminates against minorities like us. The Loyal Orange Institution of Scotland demands equality of treatment for all Scots not just those whose politics or religion suits the government’s agenda.
  2. I admit I am an observer from afar. However, having just read the last five pages my immediate reaction was - 'why the hell are all of these people on here whining and greeting about the SNP, Krankie and Useless plus all of the taig media'? It seems to me that with a similar effort and energy being directed at the Scottish voters you could remove this lot from the scene permanently? Do you just want to moan or do you really want to do something about restoring Scotland to its old self?
  3. Maybe you could add... Finished your ex-chairman. Get to the back of the bus, Reid. The 'Holy Willies' are back at the front again.
  4. Kennedy is trying to ramp up the " us against them" syndrome. We beat them and we win the cup. Leaves them nothing to sell ST's.
  5. that's them letting off the fireworks they bought for terry munroe celebrations. Up yeez
  6. F**kin victims on every occasion. How many times have Rangers' players been fast-tracked when they could have played against them and been suspended before we play them?
  7. Of course it's possible in one summer, McNamara says Rangers are not even a good team, so why wouldn't it be possible to recover the terry munroe next year?
  8. Why are we worried about this guy and them? We've got StevieG and a good team - let them do the worrying.
  9. Can this season get any better? Luxembourg's Gerson Rodrigues (centre) celebrates World Cup qualifiers: Republic of Ireland suffer shock defeat to Luxembourg By Sporting Life 22:42 · SAT March 27, 2021 Gerson Rodrigues condemned the Republic of Ireland to an embarrassing 1-0 defeat in Dublin as Luxembourg won a World Cup qualifier for just the sixth time in their history. The striker blasted home an 85th-minute winner at the Aviva Stadium to all but end Ireland’s hopes of making it out of Group A after just two games and pile the pressure on manager Stephen Kenny, who has won none of his first 10 matches at the helm.
  10. This meltdown is glorious
  11. I was going to post this... Then I decided to add this, just for the lhurkers... Happy St Patrick's Day to all our members and the Orange family worldwide. A special mention to those serving at home and abroad who will be marking the day with their own traditions and customs.

By STV News Published 01 Apr 2019. A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed following Sunday's Old Firm game. The 47-year-old was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary after a brawl in the Merchant City. Police, who are treating the attack as attempted murder, are investigating whether the trouble was linked to the celtic v Rangers game on Sunday. Two other men, aged 29 and 30, were also taken to hospital after being injured in the large-scale disturbance on Blackfriars Street. Police were called to incident at around 5.05pm. Detective Inspector Peter Crombie said: "We are currently going through CCTV and speaking to those who were in the area at the time to try to establish exactly what happened here. "We are treating the attack on the 47 year-old man as attempted murder, and the attacks on the 29 and 30 year-old men as serious assaults. "There may have been more people injured in this incident who did not seek medical treatment last night and we would appeal for them to come forward and speak to us. "We also know that there were a number of people in the area who may have got caught up in it, or stopped to see what was going on. We would ask these people to check back and see if they have any mobile phone footage or images that can help us. "If you were driving in the area, you may also have dash-cam footage that can help - either prior to the incident taking place or in the aftermath. "Anyone with any information about the incident, or any footage of before, during or after the incident is urged to get in contact with police." The incident followed a heated Old Firm clash at celtic Park that saw two Rangers players sent off. celtic won the game 2-1 thanks to a late winner from James Forrest after Ryan Kent had cancelled out Odsonne Edouard's first-half opener. Alfredo Morelos was shown a red card for an elbow on Scott Brown during the first half and Andy Halliday was sent off after the game for his involvement in an angry clash between the two sides.

  15. My first cup final, aged 12. The 1957 Scottish League Cup Final was played on 19 October 1957 at Hampden Park, in which celtic beat rivals Rangers in a record 7–1 victory. I almost gave up watching the Gers after that but thankfully even at that age there was enough NO SURRENDER in me that I went back for more. This season makes up for an awful lot. Ain't tarrier tears great!!
