It's a stupid response to be fair. I don't tell anyone to waken up over a difference of opinion. A difference of opinion would be something like who's our best central defence pairing ... waken up means something totally different to me - like something that's happening in front of your face but get's ignored.

There's more to being a manager than just signing players. This is the perfect get out for the other stuff he's doing wrong.

But things you think are blatant is a subjective opinion. The way you think your opinion is right that other person probably believes their opinion is just as correct.

You're right there's more to it than signing players. What specifically are the things he's doing wrong that people are ignoring?

 aye that's what it is.

The old different opinion line when there's no response. Been a while since I've seen that used on here but it's a night for things that's not happened in a long time to happen tonight I suppose.

I disagree with loads of people on here about loads of things - wakening up is to the fact that blatant mistakes are getting made in front of our faces but some are chosing to ignore it all because Warburton signed the players.

When there's no response? No that is the response. They are not his players and people feel he should get the chance to bring in the players he wants before he can be fairly judged. And it's not just bringing in his players: it's the type of players. This squad is frighteningly unbalanced when it comes to having options for different styles of play. There are no players with steel, grit or determination to embrace the physical side of the game.

I don't want a reaction I want a proper debate and I want people to waken up. There is a few people who think he can do no wrong. The posts are scattered about the forum to see and they aren't hard to find. If I get it rammed down my throat that these aren't his players therefore nothing else matters I am more than entitled to call them the Pedro can do no wrong brigade back.

People need to wake up because they have a different opinion to you?

    & tonight we fucked it.

Just one thing we had to maintain this season.

It was clear we didn't have enough to compete with Celtic early on but I stupidly thought we would still finish second but the main thing I wanted was not to lose that record to them.

The players didn't care a jot (apart from a 5/10-minute spell after Waghorn scoring) from the off it was like a pre-season friendly to them. Only Miller got it and early on young Wilson at the back, you could see it on the young boys face he was wanting to get stuck in even if ability-wise he might not have had it.

I know the 'Pedro can do no wrong' brigade are currently sharpening their knives ready to get stuck into myself for this post and anyone else with legitimate concerns so I'll get the part out of the road that get's rammed down our throats in defence of him every day that I know he didn't sign these players. I know. Cheers.

The players are useless wankers who hopefully won't be returning from pre-season holidays but you might have Pedro to thank for helping them down the tools tonight. He made a point of telling them quite blazenly in the press that a lot of them won't be back. This is Pedro all over he talks a good game but doesn't think.

He done Aberdeen's team talk for them tonight with his pish he's spouted.

Naming teams against Kilmarnock 2-days in advance.
Record since the 60's in Scottish Cup Semi's against Celtic gone.
Worst ever Ibrox Old Firm defeat.
Almost 30-years since they cunt's beat us at Ibrox ... now long gone.
Speaking absolute bollocks in the press, taking the huff saying he's keeping his thoughts to himself then resuming the pish talk a day or so after.
No further forward with a style of play (yes in spite of it being someone else's signings)

We've had Jim Duffy, Gordon Smith, Neil Lennon, Davie Provan, Derek McInnes and some others all come out and criticise Pedro in the past day or two and I can't disagree with what they said. Some of the guys I respect greatly one I don't but I think what they've said is correct - it's nothing to do with the media gunning for him, he's gave the media all sorts of ammo and headlines on a plate. There's a massive difference but it doesn't suit the false narrative about Poor Pedro that some of the support have built up.

Pedro was an intentional appointment by this scummy board to keep the heat off them. They knew fine well there's a good chance all this would happen but they did it anyway so they could say "it was a gamble we tried a different route for the good of the club" .. I almost feel sorry for Pedro as he's being used as a clear patsy here. Pedro (like Cathro at Hearts) is an excellent number two who's tactically minded but out his depth as the manager of a team like ours.

I could be totally wrong (I hope I am) but watch our transfer recruitment involve all sorts of random dudes from South America and the Gulf states with a couple of second-rate Scottish talent like Jack from Aberdeen and Crawford from Hamilton and us having to rebuild again next summer. Identiclal position.

I don't rate our youths but to prove a point I'd send every single one of our first team players away for their summer holidays right now and give everyone of them a game against St Johnstone last game of the season. Show some balls Pedro and just do that.

You're purposely trying to get a reaction here but calling them the 'Pedro can do no wrong brigade'. Also having a go at that group by saying they attack people just because they voice legitimate concerns. I don't think anyone would have a problem if people were just saying they were concerned. But it's understandle for people to get upset when he's getting called a dud and a donkey and others telling him to fuck off back to Qatar.

Will give u fod and garner. Youngsters didn't play before so that's stupid. Hill has struggled with the lack of shape since murty and Miller is playing dm ffs

But have the youngsters been worse as the games have gone on? Miller started playing behind the striker tonight. The only reason players are having to play in other positions is because the options are so poor.

  6. 4 minutes ago, MacBoyd said:

Yes he has every game we look like we are a man down and have no shape. Every player is worse individually and we have gone from overpassing to long ball

The shape is obvious. But maybe it's due to the fact he is having to shoehorn players into positions because the squad is gash. Or maybe because we have the same type of player throughout the team. Every player is worse individually? That is just wrong. A few examples. Fod-no, Tav-no, Hill-no, Bates-no, Beerman-no, Miller-no, Holt-no, Garner-no. Everyone was crying out for the team to stop passing it so much earlier in the season and play to Garner's strengths. Now that's a bad thing? It may be due to the fact the midfielders are not good enough to take the balll and get us playing or the fact we are playing young players at the who are less confident and more likely to go long when they are under pressure.

Absolute fucking dud. Has somehow managed to make us much worse

Such revisionist history. He's made us worse than getting beat 4-1 at Tynecastle, drawing at home to Ross County, losing at Inverness etc? Not saying he's made us better but this squad reached a plateau of being utter shite and have been at that same level for a long time now.

Not in the 1st half it wasnt. Was 4-3-3 and the worst performance we have ever had against Bheast.

In theory it was a 4-3-1-2 but they always seem to revert to the 4-3-3 .

The first half was a 4-4-2. Certainly defensively at the very least. Hyndman was on the right and Miller on the left of a 4. Waghorn and Garner up front.

  9. Thought Pedro got his tactics wrong at the start. I expected us to sit back but having the strikers back at the half way line letting their central defenders have the ball was a poor decision. They can be pretty shaky at the back so we should've been pressuring them.

McCoist proved to be useless at every aspect of the backroom. He couldn't pick a team or tactics and decent players became much worse under his regime.

No I'm talking about when he was assistant to Walter. He was part of the coaching staff during a successful spell. So he obviously wasn't affecting things in a negative way during that time.

  11. 21 minutes ago, The Beast said:

After McCoist, I would have thought we'd have learned our lesson to not want someone as a coach or manager just because they were a good player. Obviously not.

Never mind, as long as a Rangers man gets back on the gravy train then all is well.

McCoist was part of a very successful spell as a coach. Plus not being a good manager doesn't necessarily mean you're not a good coach. Ferguson may or not be a good coach but there's a difference between being the manager and being the third option coach.

Let's not get too carried away. The team gave it their all today and pulled off a result that many never thought possible, but they are still a very limited squad technically. They cannot do this every week. That was a seriously tall order order today and they achieved it, but not week on week.

We still require quality.  We need to replace 3 of the four in the back line. In the midfield we lose Hyndman, so how many do we need in? 3?. In the front line, Kenny has seen his last season as a starter. Is Waghorn good enough. Is anyone else? So we're looking at eight in of the desired quality and character. Do it and we knock that lot off their perch big style!

Don't think we are going to get eight, especially in one window (although I do agree we need virtually a new starting team). Whoever does come in the summer needs to be high quality and an automatic starter. I think maybe six (two CBs, 2 CMs (I still have high hopes for Rossiter), a winger and a striker).

  13. Yeah think he's definitely better when he plays higher up. Be interesting with the new manager and his formation. If it is a 4-4-1-1 like today then we either put Hyndman as the one in behind or go with a striker there (like today) and play two up front.

I genuinely hope he is the nut job he's being made out to be.

Nothing would make me happier than for the team to start performing and there to be a fear of failure put back into the dressing room.

Be nice to also have a bit of presence on the touch line again.

BBC say monk is top of list

Did you see that online mate? Or hear it on the radio? He's out of the contract in the summer and he just said today that they haven't even opened talks on a new one. I was shocked by that and all the fans online are calling for them to get him signed up. I'd be delighted if we could get him but can't see how he'd come here considering he's in the playoffs with Leeds and if he did leave Premier league/ other Championship teams would be in for him.
