  1. Drove by Govan police stn on Friday when the terrorists were being detained there. Across the road at Bellahouston Pk was a protest group holding a huge banner 'Free Our POW's'. Seriously???
  2. I called the PR office the day we heard Gazza had gone. I was seriously pissed off. Nice lassie tells me to hold, then John Greig comes on to explain that Gazza had become uncontrollable both in training and in the dressing room. He said there were things happening that no-one would ever learn but Rangers didn't release Gazza lightly. If big John says so, then that's good enough for me.
  3. Great post. This is exactly what we all think but need someone a bit more eloquent like yourself to put it out there.
  4. Thats what I was aiming at TBH. The guys I knew in the 80's would've booted the latest batch up the shiter for some of the stuff they come out with.
  5. Don't know if this is an old topic, but WTF happened to these guys attitude to our club? I remember many years ago living out East half a dozen of them would come on our bus to Ibrox to support the Bears and have a good sash-up. Drinking along the PRW when we played them at Ibrox you'd find them in every pub talking to Bears about our mutual loathing of the unwashed. If we do end up playing them in the Championship what will the attitude be to Jambo's coming into Bears bars?
  6. I thought Black had a good game. Comparisons to Edu are a bit unfair. Both combative midfielders but Edu's physical presence gave him an edge. My son and his mates met Edu at a club in Glasgow when he played for us. Boy reckoned he was built like a middle-weight boxer.
  7. Agreed. A lot of great Rangers players have tried their hand at management and didn't make the grade. Ally should always be remembered for his determination to stand by his club in the worst circumstances any Rangers manager has ever worked under. Not a great manager, but a great bluenose.
  8. Looking back, yes. But, as a club there can be no ifs or maybe's. When the 3rd division kicked off 2/3rd's of the squad were kids. Did any of us really understand how determined these lower league guys were to do us over. As we climb the divisions it will only become more competitive.
  9. I've thought about the excessive spending and can only think that if we'd spent less money on guys who 'could' get promotion, what would happen if they couldn't quite get us there. Our board had to guarantee promotion, that means spending over the odds. Doesn't quite explain 20 odd million off the bank balance, but can understand that there can be no chances taken when it comes to promotion through these divisions.
  10. As I said, 5 minutes from Ibrox. I used to look out the window, pouring down and thought, 'F**k, oh well, here we go'. Hat's off lads.
  11. Hopefully this lads been sorted out dexiboy. Same as yourself, I'm 5 minutes from Ibrox, if there's a lift required I'll be glad to help out.
  12. Who knows, who cares? We're still 2 full seasons away from the top division. Lets think about that in summer 2015.
  13. Me too. After all the shite this week that was a real tonic.
  14. Oh aye, the bold Nicola. MSP for my part of the country and a complete windbag. Lost 2 elections for the Govan seat and now Deputy Leader of the entire country. If wee eck wins the referendum (God help us) ultimately he'll step down after a suitable period and this complete waste of space could become the leader of our country. Visited her surgery once and given some platitudes, pat on the back, see what I can do and ushered out the door. Never heard from her again. Vote NO.
  15. I agree that 2012 was a new low in journalism in this country. The frenzy to submit any twisted, lying and exaggerated Rangers story to their editors (who were more than willing approve) was appalling to witness. This is certainly not the country I remember where fairness, truth and the Protestant work ethic would always stand you in good stead. I don't agree with the current sentiments of f*** Scotland. I'm proud to be Scottish. I'm also proud to be British and served many years in HM Forces. It's too easy to say f*** this place, I'm out of here. I'm not letting these Rangers/Loyalist/Protestant hating b@stards take over and win my country without a fight. Sorry, just registerd and ranting already.
