  1. McGowan played well against us when we won 3-1 and was probably the best player in the recent draw, think he’s a bit older than the other 4 you listed who have all looked good at different times this season. Would be interesting to see where Bailey Rice is viewed in house as to what these lads have done this season.
  2. What a team we had back then, was a brilliant day out 🇬🇧
  3. Butland Tav Balogun Goldson Barisic Lundstram Sterling Diomande McCausland Dessers Cantwell Can’t be fucked with Silva or Lawrence so Cantwell to take one for the team and play wide left. If Yilmaz is fit I would play him over Borna as imagine McInnes will target him with Armstrong after that performance in February. Any win will do but would nice to do it with a couple of goals to spare rather than sitting nervy as fuck.
  4. The St Mirren player has plenty of time to avoid Butland, was a shocker of a decision from Walsh to award a foul, to then add to it by booking him was ridiculous. I am probably more of the dignified silent type but this should really be called out in relation to the referring standard that we have to endure as this clown is considered one of the better ones.
  5. Bit nervy but was all about the 3 points today, on to next week against Kilmarnock.
  6. With Yilmaz still out and Barisic not used recently would imagine means Sterling back to LB. Butland Tav Balogun Goldson Sterling Lundstram Diomande McCausland Lawrence Cantwell Dessers Would be tempted to go two up front with Dessers and Silva/Roofe if the defence was playing well but we just need to get the win no matter what.
  7. Talk Hart out of retiring, get him to work on his penalty taking and we can replace Tav as well 😉
  8. Sterling played there the last time against St Mirren and wasn’t great but could be a shout so the LHS doesn’t get targeted in the air with Yilmaz and McCausland.
  9. Butland Tav Balogun Goldson Yilmaz Lundstram Diomande Sterling Cantwell McCausland Dessers
  10. Not answering the other post as the thread has moved on. Funny how you remember the Row Z free kick but not the shot on target in the 1st half from McCausland cutback, which was also on the highlights package seeing as you missed it at the game 😉
  11. Thought Souttar was stinking for a period of about 20 minutes, absolute liability at times.
  12. Aye probably right, was wondering what the blunder was as couldn’t remember a ffs Tav at the game but watched the highlights and was pretty much as I thought from B7, some folk just want to see what they want rather than what actually happened.
  13. Outwith the 2-1 game at Ibrox where he bullied Davies and scored a great header, Shankland has been worse with each game against us, thought he was pish yesterday and I like him as a player.
  14. So Tav slips when the initial mistake is made by Souttar but it’s “Tav’s blunder nearly cost us big time” (which never actually happened, as they didn’t get a shot at Butland) No praise for his block when Souttar fucked it in the 2nd half, which cleared out a potential opportunity? No praise for his work in getting the ball to Cantwell for the opening goal when he could have stopped for a free kick but continued to fight for the ball? The only big mistake he made was a poor clearance at about 80 odd minutes that eventually led to Oda shot at Butland but there was some pretty pish defending all round at that point that I put down to team tiredness rather than highlight one individual. He wasn’t brilliant but certainly wasn’t poor yesterday, he had a solid game with the rest of the team.
  15. If he had better game awareness he could be more of a threat as he has great pace and shown that he can finish but those positives are outweighed by his negatives of not taking his man on in the right areas of the pitch and spending a lot of time on his arse as he loses footing/balance.
  16. Is that not when Souttar had been ragdolled again but ultimately didn’t lead to anything?
  17. I genuinely can’t remember the 2nd half blunder. He was integral to the opening goal and made a great clearance when Souttar fucked it at 1-0, thought he was solid without being spectacular.
  18. Solid win today, some good performances from Balogun, Sterling, Cantwell, Dio and Dessers. For about 20 minutes Souttar was howling and Matondo was ineffective. Hopefully take a bit of confidence into the game against St Mirren.
  19. What second half blunder?
  20. Played well today, potential MOTM. Keep him in for away to St Mirren and play Goldson as LCB, Souttar is a “played well apart from their goal” type of player, too many mistakes.
  21. Yep with you on the majority of that, we just need to get through the next 7 games (hopefully) and see where we are at the end of it, regardless of trophies won or lost I am hopeful that the squad overhaul that we wanted last year will be carried out a bit sharper by PC and Koppen.
  22. In the last 6 weeks or so I can remember Cantwell hitting a decent one from the right, Ridvan hitting a few shite ones before he got injured, Borna hitting a few decent ones and Diomande hitting a few shite ones. The set pieces should be better but to me that’s something they should be working on in training that we don’t get a lot of spare time as we are generally playing every 3 or 4 days, I see it as a pre-season where the hard work is done then it’s fine tuned during the season.
  23. There was nothing wrong with the corner that he put on Goldson’s head in midweek that he hit straight at the keeper. PC strikes me as the type of manager that is pretty strict, I don’t see him letting Tav take set pieces for shits n giggles. If we have someone better than Tav but PC can’t stand up to him then we have the wrong guy in the dug out and he should go before Tav but I don’t think that’s the case, pretty sure you don’t either but you’re just pissed off with Tav specifically and the team in general.
