  1. Andy Devlin ‏@AndyDev28 32s33 seconds ago Joe Dodoo has completed his move to @RangersFC. 21 year-old has signed a 4 year deal. Welcome to the mighty Rangers Joe!
  2. id look to bring back Hutton for a season - Tav has qualities that you cant give up on but needs time to improve. Hutton even at his current level and age is an upgrade defensively
  3. Sorry to say this, but I think we need to look at the goalie position. Love the big guy but he is far from SPL quality. Yes he can kick with 2 feet but he goes down in installments. Tav is another. I think we are missing a trick with him. I think he needs employed further up the park. Certainly, defensively, he costs us in a lot of games. Stokes embarrassed him Saturday and Stokes is no great shakes. I agree we need another center half and if barton signs the next signing should be a center forward of significant quality. But goalie and RB worry me against good sides especially
  4. Oh, if we play 11 blind men,I will still be behind us. I just wonder how we are going to improve the squad - the defence in particular, will be a big weakness if it is not addressed
  5. I fear for us for next season. Looks like the current board will not be able to put the required funds together to patch up a team that, lets be frank, badly needs strengthening. And with that being the case, the current split in the support and all that goes with that will continue and be a huge distraction. IMHO for us to have the type of season that we need to to go up, the off the field stuff needs to be sorted before July ends
  6. remember a home game v Spain in the early 80s when Bett and Cooper combined down the left of the lineup and tore a hole through the spanish. Back when we actually had a go at the big teams. Saying that, we had a decent side back then
  7. the cynic in me is thinking that this is toxic sowing the seeds so that they can sack Ally if we dont win the cup.
  8. Got to say, Im not in agreement re our current squad. I take a look at our back four and some weeks we are a shambles. Lee Wallace IMHO is our only SPL caliber defender in the first team right now. Midfield is strong, up front ok, could maybe use another striker though. Overall I see a squad that should win the championship, but not at a canter, and would probably finish 5th or 6th if we did well in our first season back in the SPL. Hope we can win the cup this year but I dread to think what the pace and movement of Aberdeen or Dundee Utds forwards would do to our back line right now
  9. Was a really tense final game, looked like they have blown it needing 9 an over from the last 4 overs, but some big hitting in the clutch brought them over the line. THey play in the final of the tournament Friday/Saturday, if they win, they will be in a group at the World Cup that includes England and Ireland
  10. Last night we qualified for the 2015 Cricket World Cup FInals after a very tense last over 3 wicket win over Kenya. Fantastic achievement by the lads and a much needed boost for the sport in Scotland
  11. Seems if I was one of the investors, I would like the idea of DK buying a ton of shares, as the share price will boom overnight. Just buying more shares themselves wont have anywhere near the same effect
  12. Really? what changes did he "want" to make? And Im not talking about spouting rubbish just to get fans on his side so that we could spunk our money into his pockets. DM would do the same, every year about season ticket renewal you would hear talk about a new casino or some development/interest in a big money player. We fell for it every year. You would think we would learn, but no. CG comes along all pish and bluster and we fell for the routine all over again.
  13. Apart from the bid that was accepted in principle by D&P of course.....
  14. BK and PM came out at the time expressing their shock that D&P had done an about turn on them.
  15. I will get pelters for saying this, but here goes. Green did not save us. At the time PM/BK and their group had an agreement with D&P to buy the club. So if D&P didnt do an overnight about turn, the club would still have been saved. And imho, if that had happened, we would have seen a club ran more efficiently without the financial waste of the past year. But hey ho, what happened happened and here we are. IMO Green had a plan from the get go, to get in, make himself a pile of cash and get out, or at least out of the limelight anyway.... - he told the fans what they wanted to hear, defended the club for a minute or two so that when the IPO came we would pile money in. Of course it was set up so him and his pals could get more rich quick, but again, hey ho. And in the situation we were in, we fell for it, hook line and sinker. The worrying thing for me is that some are still falling for it today That attitute i one I cant understand, its like an Italian saying of Mussolini, "well, he made the trains run on time...."
  16. Ally will be fine just as long as the fans rally behind him and buy season tickets at the level they have been this season. Thats why the board have kept him around, lets be honest. If, say only 20k season tickets are sold, I would expect Ally would be fired along with backroom team. Of course the official reason would be related to on field performance but it is all to do with money. Most big decisions are these days sadly
  17. Yeah, no mention of leadership when it comes to armistice day but now they come to the fore. Makes me sick
