  1. Tasty post, and yes, after a slowish start to the season, signs of improvement in our movement.
  2. Still a good 15 to go, good chance to kill this at half time.
  3. Moving it like that is basically the only way to get through the low block, much more of that required.
  4. Their Ultras are boycotting apparently, difficult to tell the difference mind.
  5. If only he had set up like how nearly every other Scottish team sets up against us. They would probably have escaped with a 2 or 3 nil at worst. As it is, 7-0, whit a hoot.
  6. We have built up the squad for this very reason. The whole point is that we should have at least two players for every position that will be able to handle the volume of games. Every player you see interviewed on this subject claims that they would rather play than train, so no, no postponement for me.
  7. They are away at Tynceastle on Sunday, methinks I will take that as a home win on my Acca. I laughed ever louder with every passing goal last night. The carnage inflicted on the Scottish Association coefficient we have worked so hard to bolster is well worth it in this case.
  8. At least with the "Unity" boycotting we will not have to deal with the huge frenzied support St J usually bring. I can see Gio making a number of changes from the Euro line up, the squad we have should be enough to handle the game even with the inevitable ultra defensive set up from St J.
  9. Bite yer hand off for that sort of score. Am also hoping one of the MS broadcasters pick the game up, My (legit) RTV stream was all over the place last night, buffering, several blackouts and on many occasions the resolution resorted to Minecraft mode, these games need a reliable service for those of us unable to attend the game. Edit : just read that BT have both games.
  10. Major confidence boost taken last night given that we have not played as well as we can since the competitive games started. Ibrox will be rocking as per, PSV will not (hopefully) go ultra defensive and will allow us to play, so we have given ourselves a real chance to get the result required to take over to Eindhoven.
  11. I know that, however successful in a Queens Park sort of way.
  12. Spot on, achieved even though we played nowhere near as well as we can, and the main reason why I cannot get carried away about our prospects in this competition. We will have to improve dramatically with our movement and short passing, at times tonight we looked as though we were passing around a sack of cement. On the bright side, I know that we can do so much better, and with the morale boost that we have taken from tonight, I am confident that we are going to see a far more open and entertaining game of football next week against PSV, I will be shocked if they go 10-0-0. I can see us getting a couple of goals to take over to Eindhoven.
  13. Makes it all the sweeter does it not? With this mindset in place, I sincerely hope that AZ put 6 or 7 past Dundee Hibs later on this week.
  14. We are ecstatic after getting through against a Belgian team that no cunt outside of Brussels has heard of. PSV are ecstatic after knocking out a team backed by £Millions and who want to be making an effort for Ligue 1 despite the obscene financial advantage of PSG. Well done PSV, but we are coming for ya.
  15. Penalty to Rangers (TavPen), Masonic linesman, should have been a foul on their keeper for our third, looking forward to the Uberseethe in the morning.
  16. TavPen, Ref changing mind over second Sands booking, no foul given for USG keeper for Rangers winner, (no foul commited of course), let meltdown commence.
  17. Better result for us that PSV are up next IMHO for the very simple reason that we will be playing on a proper surface come the second leg. The surface at Monaco is notoriously bad, almost worse than a plastic effort, so hopefully we will be able to play as we know we can. Slight downside is that we will be up against a hostile atmosphere in the return, had it been Monaco we would have taken over half the stadium, as it is I reckon we can expect no more than 1500 for the travelling Bears. All that being said, I am ecstatic that we are discussing this as I made it perfectly clear in pre match posts that I did not see us turning it around. Very happy to have been proved wrong.
  18. My first away to Europe with my Dad and Uncle, left standing outside the brothel with a packet of crisps and a can of coke, the game worked out wonderfully well. Here is hoping for a repeat.
  19. The first half was dire, to claim otherwise is silly, we probably passed the ball to their players more often than our own and compared to what we are capable of, it was pish. Please do not get me wrong though, had you offered me that result tonight.
  20. Agree to disagree, just read the thread up until the penalty and tell everyone posting there that we played well all night.
  21. Same game as you, result aside, for a lot of the time tonight we were gash.
  22. Stating the obvious, but Colak is a goat, feed him and he will score, otherwise......... Wish that there was some way to play him and Alfie in the same team.
  23. No way will PSV or Monaco play the 10-0-0. Hopefully being allowed to play a bit will allow us to improve dramatically on the performance in this round.
