  1. Jose Mourinho would struggle to get a game out of this lot. Was trying to stay aff the swally tonight, however that bottle of Glenfiddich is calling me.
  2. Another good memory of that night was the attitude of the Polis. Me and several others were caught trying to smuggle a Kerry Oot into the ground. Instead of arresting us, they helped us to open our screwtap bottles(with the aid of a Daystick) and stood chatting to us for a while as we downed our brews. Polis Scotland take note.
  3. Was there that night. Fantastic, despite the bloody weather. Could not have ended up any more drookit if I had jumped into a swimming pool. Fud Livorno fans tried to set fire to a Union Flag that was hanging on the segregation fence, Godzilla with her fiery breath would have had a problem getting a light that night. Said Fuds also had a banner declaring us (Bears) to be Slaves of The Queen. I believe they have Communistic views. Had a great night back in Pisa after the game, Pisa supporters were well chuffed with our success, apparently Pisa and Livorno do not get on that well.
  4. I will be back regardless of the standard of football. It has broken me not to renew my season ticket this year after 35 years of unbroken attendance. The only way to get these pigs noses out of the trough is to stop filling it, and although it goes against the grain of everything it means to be a Bluenose, refusing to finance the Regime is the only way to get them out. The standard of football ultimately does not matter, supporting our Club and our team is the only priority. Having witnessed the dark days of the late 70's/early 80's, and then the glory years that followed, I have no doubt that we are finally beginning to see the Light coming from the darkness. Even the worst nightmare ends, I am sure that we will wake up from this nightmare soon.
  5. Perhaps it is up to us to provide an environment suitable for a Rangers team to play a crucial match. Screw the anti-Board stuff for one game. Sell out The Stadium, rock the joint and show the Watery Farts what is like to come to the home of the Gers when it really matters. If our team, no matter how mediocre it is at the moment, cannot respond to 50,000 Bears then the game really is up. Bill Struth Main Stand Rear, I will be there.
  6. Say what you like about Maurice Jo, I must admit that standing in the West Enclosure when he scored that last minuter, I went as mental as I have ever done celebrating a Rangers goal
  7. Was there that night. Stayed in Pisa for two nights before the game, Pisa fans gave us 'Shit Livorno' stickers with witch to decorate the Livorno Stadium. Pissed from the heavens non stop, Livorno fans tried( failed) to steal, and then set fire to (it was soaking wet) a Union Flag that was tied up to the fence near the segregation area. Livorno fans, notorious Communist sympathisers unfurled banner declaring Rangers Fans slaves of the Queen. Needless to say GSTQ belted out loud and proud by the Bears assembled. We played well, wee Nacho especially. On the final whistle Big Amo came over and done his silly dance in front of the Bears. Got the impression that the Cops escorting us back to Pisa after the game were Pisa fans, not only did they take our bus to a local Kerry Oot shop, the Polis guy sitting on our bus directing the driver necked a beer and joined in with the community singing. Only downer of the night was unable to get back to my hotel as some eejit harassed a Taxi driver prompting them all to go off the road, fortunately a fellow Bear of my acquaintance put me up in his room. Good memories.
  8. 2015. Still a Bear, still British. Have to admit that it is more than I expected this time last year. The Rangers, despite everything, we are still here, The United Kingdom, despite the very best efforts of the divisionists, is still here. Onwards an upwards people, this nightmare WILL end.
  9. The Bioshock series. Rapture and Columbia are stunning. You could spend hours just walking around just looking at the place, never mind actually playing the game. As a Wargamer I also love Gary Grigsby's work. Check our War in the East,a seriously detailed game of the most titanic military struggle the World has ever seen.
  10. All the best Ally. A Real Rangers Man. Whatever his record as a manager, he held us together over the last few years. A Real Rangers Man. I am lucky enough to have watched Ally's entire Rangers career, and I include the last few years. So many ecstatic moments when he scored against The Filth, so many moments when I felt utter despair. Anyone who doubts SA's commitment as a Ranger should be ashamed. The word Legend is bandied about very liberally in the football world, not so with our Super Ally. Super Ally. Wherever he may go in the Word from now on will be welcomed and adored by all true Bears. I repeat. A Real Rangers Man
  11. I have one of those, although not in such good condition. It is inside my pristine John Greig Testimonial program. I also have several silky style scarves from 70's, and a mint condition official commemorative mug from Argentina 78, still in the box.
  12. I think he was a Morton fan. Was a season ticket holder for years at Cappielow. Sad to hear of his death, was part of my childhood, watching Scotsport on a Sunday afternoon while the Parents were doon the Pub.
  13. Falkirk born, Ye Ken? Perhaps a Scottish born, not necessarily Rangers born, but who knows what it means to be a Ranger, is what our policy should be with regards to our signing policy over the next few years. Let us get back to the basics of being Rangers. Once we do that, the rest will take care of itself.
  14. Thinking about some of the players I have supported in the Blue Shirt, I was struck with a sudden feeling of appreciation ad respect for the above mentioned. One of my favourite memories of being a Bear was celebrating the goal he scored against Dundee United at Tannadice. Older Bears may remember the ridiculously steep terracing that ran down the length of the pitch, suffice to say it went mental, as a goal from Stuart Munro was as rare as Hobby Horse shit. Despite his limitations as a player, he knew what it mean to play for Rangers, Top Man. Does anyone else have a good memory of some of our more unsung Heroes?
  15. The day we stop moaning about The Gers I the day we should really start worrying
  16. Got to get to grips with Oyenuga. Guy is obviously out to impress, shop window and all that.
  17. We only have to worry about us. Hearts have played out of their skin so far, have also ridden their luck. The goal against Hibs was one in a thousand. When injuries and suspension hit, they will struggle. We have the best squad and team in our League, Boyd and Miller will fire us to automatic promotion no matter who our manager may be.
  18. Given what we have been through recently, surely no other Bear can begrudge another having a wee snigger tonight at the expense of that lot. We all know about our troubles, but part of being a Bear is hating the Mhanks and enjoying their misfortune. Let your hair down for once tonight lads, it cannot do any harm.
  19. Was in Tel Aviv a few years back now. Remember practically nothing about the game at Bloomfield, different story though with the pubs down on the beach before and after the game. Hospitality was brilliant, the locals had never seen so many travelling fans for a Club match before, the party at the beach was one of the highlights of my Rangers experiences over the years. Seem to remember local young ladies dancing topless on the tables, fantastic atmosphere well into the wee small hours, and most surprisingly (and most welcome) a heavily armed guard of Israeli troops stationed nearby to make sure that we were not bothered by anyone trying to make a political point with a car full of semtex. Great trip.
  20. Rangers Vs St Etienne. Standing on The Derry End with my Dad, only 4 years old wondering why all of these grown up men were getting so upset. I found out why they were getting so upset over the next few years as I followed us around the country getting battered from pillar to post until Big Tel headed home the winner at Pittodrie. Joy unconfined, still my happiest memory as a Bluenose, not even surpassed by the delirium of Helicopter Sunday.
  21. Horrendous news. The epitome of a Ranger. An Edinburgh lad, who supported the Hearts, but who ended up as one of he greatest Gers there ever will be.
  22. It go's without saying that I have regretted not going ever since. How many times can any Bear alive apart from the very youngest, can have any hope of seeing us get to the latter stages of a European competition in our lifetime?
