  1. He wasn't frustrated and he he was facing our goal when he stupidly flicked the ball away, he heard the whistle all right, and as said previously, it is a stonewall booking offence, and in the type game we were involved in today he could have cost us had it been earlier in the game as the ref had laid down a marker that he was prepared to book people for infringing the rules.

Unnecessary silly booking, but the way we were standing up to some unnecessary stuff coming from St.Mirren was commendable, and showed another side of our game that was welcome under the circumstances.

St.Mirren came at us in a different mode and it didn't pay off, but it was clear to see that we were fortunate to get away with all the points, if not for Wes F in goal we may have been caught out, he was my MOTM today and done us proud.

    :uk:

I take back what I said then ^^

  2. He kicked the ball away when we gave a FK away. It's a booking in football every single time. It was unnecessary - I really like Kiernan but he does have the occasional rush of blood to the head where he does stupid things on the pitch.

I presumed he just didn't hear the whistle, he didn't seem/look frustrated to me

  3. think he timed the booking just right a couple of tackles went in that he let go and then said fair enough card time set out his stall and maintained it players knew what would happen. a good game all round for him and after that twat dallas the other night it was good to see a decent ref performance.

I thought Kiernan getting booked was pretty harsh. Other than that there wasn't much I could really contest.

  4. Is it not against UEFA rules regarding political backing in football? To me this sort of advertisement should not be allowed in any football ground .

Barcelona got fined 30,000 euros for political banners at the 2015 champions league

I saw St Mirren had SNP adverts round the stadium, which doesn't seem right to me. Football is about football, and although political will be brought into it by the fans (Eg Rangers being a British team) it shouldn't be encouraged by the stadium itself. It'll cause trouble without fail.

  5. I gotta say I was really impressed with how aggressive the rangers were being today, in terms of tackles and challenges.

Compared to the Livi game, you could see they had "toughened" up a bit after that.

I know it'll seem really hypocritical saying "aw such and such is a bastard for that challenge" and then saying "Good on Wally for taking that bastard out". But personally, that's what I want to see. I don't want to see Oduwa getting his ankle and throat hit, He's a player of the team I support. but seeing Kaiser Kiernan take a player out gets me hyped up especially since is many teams play that damn dirty against us.

What do you think? Think they've started to commit to challenges?

  6. Nah that ain't fair to say.

Tavs a great player and the passing from the whole team as left a lot to be desired, Zelalam gave away, mckay has gave away so on so forth.

Tav shows passion just like his peers, and you also have to consider how other teams are playing against us now. They know how we operate and have formulated counter measures.

  7. Great diplomacy used by MW and KM, as you would want and expect from seasoned campaigners.

It's becoming more and more evident that we will have to be patient in our search for goals as Kenny said, but I just love the positive vibes coming out of the dressing room and the mangers office and the unity between both.

The way MW handled the Oduwa incident was just class, and helps to give us the proper insight to the situation, and move on in the hope, as he said, that with every negative there is a positive and hopefully an awareness that something will come right after this incident.

It really is all about The Rangers, and I love the way MW continues to put this concept over to the hacks at every opportunity.

    :uk:

Well that's what happens when you have a manager that knows what it means to be a gentlemen and to have a good level of class!

  8. No news on assulin?

    Still just training

    > Spain superstar urges Rangers to sign Assulin

Spanish superstar Andres Iniesta has urged Rangers manager Mark Warburton to snap up trialist Gai Assulin.

The 24-year old attacker has been training at Murray Park, and his career has evidently not taken off in the way he would have hoped, but arguably one of the greatest players to ever grace the game has told Rangers to sign the creative player up as soon as possible.

Mark Warburton has been positive about Assulin’s progress, and with Rangers always looking to improve the side, a player with the former Mallorca winger’s potential is more than welcome at Ibrox, as long as he adds to the quality of the squad.

Assulin is a free agent so would have no fee attached, and he may be viewed as of the level good enough for Rangers’ inevitable assault on the SPL next season.

    > So if the lad has the endorsement of both the great Iniesta and the brilliant Magic Hat, it is clearly a good sign.

take that with a pinch of salt, it's from the 1872 Glasgow Rangers More Than A Club facebook page.

  9. I wouldn't go so far as to say we're doing bad, granted our passing is sloppy but we still hold the majoirty of possession as well as the main aggressors.

The problem is is how teams are playing against us, they're parking the bus and waiting for us to get deep in. and we don't really have that penetration to suit that. We do get there in the end by testing the defence and poking here and there though.

  10. Young player beats opponent with sublime skill...criticism plastered all over the newspaper for show boating and disrespect.

Young player almost breaks opponents leg with shocking tackle...not a mention.

    Nothing new.

Mcculloch gets hit in the face with a flag, swept under the rug

Lee Erwin pushes Moshni, Swept under the rug

Moshni punches and kicks Erwin, Front page news for a couple days

Motherwell Players hit Moshni, swept under the rug

  11. A player that's not scared of that side of the game but can play a bit would be useful.

We still lack a proper captain IMO.

I think that's pretty harsh, Wallace has done a pretty good job at rallying the team. I see him do it all the time while I'm at the games in person.

The only thing I can say against him is a slight reluctence to talk to the ref over challenges, but at that the players involved usualy do it anyway.

  12. You don't NEED a hard man, if referees did their job it would be a non issue in any case.

In a ideal world that's the case. But we don't live in that.

Instead we live in a world where in Scottish football, bad challenges go unpunished then the players manager runs his mouth about nationalitys.

I wouldn't say a hard man exactly, I mean we have players who could fit that bill eg Waggy, Halliday and Law

But the problem is is if we did such tactics we would be booked, bad mouthed, front page news so on so forth.

It seems silly but remember the Moshni incident, everyone went on about him punching Erwin but the fact that Erwin provoked him by pushing him and other motherwell players hitting moshni was swept under the rug.
