I'm sure Barry Ferguson played a huge chunk of games for us through injury, taking injections in order to do so regularly.

It was always a done thing bk in the day to take pain killing injections to play.

Later in life you pay for it. Not so much Barry, but his brother Derek is fucked (knees) because of it. I would imagine wee Durrant is the same.

Someone earlier in the thread mentioned something about surgery on the hand and anesthetic possibly being a factor?

He did have surgery on his thumb, and I suppose if you get tackled and fall then the best part of your hand is the thumb.

Just wouldn't have been an injury that would keep anyone out years ago. But this is the world we live in now.

Think many more from the 90's done the exact same thing. John Brown was always a standout for that especially the 90/91 season going into the title decider.

Goram done it plenty with his knees. It was more allowed them, not so much now. Having a broken thumb though is poor, but the guy probably can't go against medical advice.

Clement had to stick by his word that he would listen to his physios rather than risk a player unless it was the last game or two of the season. Which up here is too late.

Some players play through injuries constantly, it was a fucking daft decision leaving him out. Costly too by the looks of it.

A broken thumb isn't a major injury. Imagine telling one of our 9 in a row team "you cannae play, you've got a sore thumb".

I think it comes down to the player. Should be running through fucking brick walls

Especially in a position where it was a choice between Diomande or Dowell, hardly like he was flush with options in there.

Would have been far better playing Raskin and that's saying something. Dowell is the epitomy of pish!

If Diomande played against RC & Dundee, would the outcomes have been different?

He wanted to play but was denied by the medical staff.

This league comes down to injuries (and referees).

Cortes, Danillo and Sima would have made a massive difference, as well as the two games Diomande missed.

    Frustrating.

If that's true. I could really imagine John Brown, Gough, Hately, even Goram as a keeper, the medical staff saying "you can't play, you've broke your thumb".

Would imagine the response would be I'll stick this broken thumb right up your shiter!

It's all ifs and buts mate, they've had injuries too (I'd say us more so)

Injuries are a poor excuse though for fucking the last two league games up. That's mentality Imo. Could be 2 points ahead, but now 3 behind with a worse GD. That's shite, but it's not done.

    Clement?

Probably was. He's played really well since Clement came in, but he can't sustain it when it comes to the crunch.

He's done us well in spells but he should go, and thanks very much for what you've done at points.

5 points ahead if you include Motherwell.

After the County result, even before Dundee, I gave up on the league.  And yet, now, we have a 5-game mini-league ahead, and really, although they are favourites, anything can happen.  It was theirs to lose at one point, then it was ours to lose, any of the other 4 teams can take points off either of us, so - just win tomorrow and see what happens . . . .

Aye it's weird. The thing is when we play one another the Goal difference is always double for the winning team (for a win obviously).

Nothings ever fucked till it's fucked. Just win our 2 games up until we face them.

We overtook they cunts on GD by a fair bit at one point, then let it slide. Don't care what any cunt says, if you're beating a team, keep going to pummel them.

John Higgins is a fat tarrier mess. Cunt looks like he’s about to have a heart attack every time he takes a shot. Fingers crossed anyway! 🤞🏻

His Mrs has always been a fucking weapon aswell.

If the rabid cunt had just been professional and not went to the paedodome when he won the championship (about Everytime) I could have stomached him.

The thing that must gut him though is, Ronnie was always better, and is always gonna be better than him. :cup:

Be a man down the rest of the season then. No chance he's putting his body on the line and risking his final pay day and retirement fund.

Saying that you'd think any professional footballer in their career no matter what would put everything on the line to win a league title?!

Good call. The much lauded Chinese World Champion has never happened yet. The fact Ding hasn't won it by this stage of his career suggests he perhaps doesn't have a strong enough mindset for it.

The law of averages alone would suggest a Chinese player WILL win it at some point and Si Jiahui does look good in bursts.

In saying that he's already 4-2 down to Jak Jones as I type!

Gilbert who I've not really took notice of or liked/disliked has been playing some good stuff.

I watched his interview after he won his 1st match and thought he came across pretty well. Struggles with confidence etc etc. Fair play to him.

I won't go on incase I'm giving players the kiss of death here

Glad to see him win another night

Littler is becoming pretty unbeatable. Even most games he loses they are tight.

Think he'll end up dominating darts. Would like to think Humphries will pose a challenge, don't think many others will.
