  1. Warburton simply does not have the tools for the job,it is and always will be to big for him.
  2. If I may digress for a moment, said hello to Ally McCoist in the Horseshoe Drury street yesterday evening,he was looking well and in fine form, despite his trials and tribulations seemed totally unscarred,a very affable fellow and easy to like.
  3. Dave King - Celtics titles are meaningless DAVE KING has played down the significance of Celtic’s title wins — insisting they are ‘meaningless’ without Rangers. Earlier this month the Hoops clinched five-in-a-row. But Ibrox supremo King reckons that only amounts to ONE-in-a-row because Gers weren’t in the league. King reckons some of Celtic's titles are meaningless Keith Campbell He said: “The rivalry of the Old Firm has been intense for over a century as each team has vied to dominate the other one. “The legendary nine-in-a-row teams are testimony to what this means to each club’s history and to the respective fans, even though many were not even living at the time of Celtic’s nine-in-a-row success. “The nine-in-a-row concept is meaningless unless both clubs are competing against each other. “Even though Celtic have won the last five titles it is still only one-in-a-row in terms of our rivalry — and that is what truly counts for both sets of supporters. “I interact with enough Celtic supporters on my visits to Glasgow to know how much they have missed competing with Rangers. “Celtic fans have missed that competition as much as we have.” All that is set to change next season after Gers secured a triumphant return to the top-flight after four years away. King, back in Glasgow for today’s Scottish Cup Final against Hibs, insists Gers’ re-emergence is a welcome boost for the whole of Scottish football. Neil Lennon won the first of his Premiership titles when Gers were in the top flight in 2011/12, then won two more as Ally McCoist’s side toiled in Leagues One and Two. Ronny Deila’s two title successes were achieved while Gers were in the Championship under McCoist, Kenny McDowall, Stuart McCall and Warburton. King believes the feuds which have beset Scottish football since Gers’ liquidation have now cooled, just as the team gets ready to play in the Premiership again. He even believes Hoops fans will welcome the return of their traditional rivals, and the prospect of up to four derbies in the league next term. King added: “Most people have moved on. “There are, of course, some ‘diehards’ who continue to make noise and get a sympathetic hearing from their own club. “But that is really not an issue for the vast majority who recognise that Rangers’ return to the top flight is a shot in the arm for Scottish football in general, and for the Glasgow economy. “Celtic supporters are also significant beneficiaries and they have missed the competition.”
  4. David Luiz who couldn't lace King Richard's boots cost PSG £50 million from Chelsea, says it all.
  5. Scottish Championship Rangers Richard Gough says Rangers would need to pay £30m for him today, highlights good point The former Rangers hero was discussing the club's ability to lure players in their prime. Rangers are on the way back to the Scottish Premiership next season after they won promotion from the Scottish Championship. Of course now they are back in the big time they are set to be linked with plenty of new players, and some big names. Just this week Joey Barton and Niko Kranjcar have been linked with a move to Ibrox. Both of those players are however available on the cheap and a former Rangers hero has now been speaking about the club’s ability to bring in talented players in their prime – just as they did with him in 1987. The man in question is former Rangers star and Scotland international Richard Gough. The defender told the Stornoway Gazette this week that for Rangers to bring a player like him to the club now, it would cost them a fee they would not be able to afford, especially with their recent financial issues: "We won the league in 82/83 and it is getting back to that level again when Rangers and Celtic can’t get the top level of players like (Graeme) Souness did when he came in signing the then-England captain in Terry Butcher and me, Scotland captain. “That could never happen now because it would cost maybe £30million to get me from Tottenham and £200,000 in wages for me so it’s not going to happen." Gough’s point is clear. Rangers are not going to be able to bring in top players in their prime like they once did with the likes of himself, Terry Butcher and even Paul Gascoigne. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2016/05/19/richard-gough-says-rangers-would-need-to-pay-30m-for-him-today-h/
  6. Has Dyche called barton's bluff ? http://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/14493893.Burnley_boss_Sean_Dyche_prepared_to_be_patient_with_Joey_Barton_as_midfielder_holds_Rangers_talks/
  7. "The Rangers" is our registered and proper title,if the BBC and tarriers had done any research they would be aware of that.
  8. Not for me,our standards are higher than cigar eye stubbing etc thugs. Bill Struth will be wondering what is going on.
  9. A CAMPAIGN to have Rangers referred to by the BBC as a new club have been dismissed by a wing of the broadcaster's governing body. An objection was made to the BBC Trust after it had previously ruled that the BBC had been wrong to use the terms "new" and "old" club in reference to Rangers. The Trust was told that the complaint surrounded references to "Rangers" in BBC output and that it was "more appropriate to refer to them as 'The Rangers' or 'Sevco 5088'. Complainers believe that Rangers became a new club following liquidation in 2012 and that the club should thereafter have a different name reflecting the names of companies that subsequently took control of the business. Many diehards will only refer to Rangers as Sevco, the name given to the Charles Green-headed consortium that bought the liquidated assets with a £5.5 million loan in 2012. But a panel of the Editorial Standards Committee responsible for assisting the Trust in securing editorial standards quashed any move to take the matter further, saying it had previously concluded it was not necessary to refer to the name of the holding company. A group of Celtic fans caused controversy when they paid for an advert in a newspaper last year saying Rangers are a new club. Those Celtic fans who feel Rangers are a new club, have objected to any commentary that indicates that on promotion from the Scottish Championship to the Premiership that they will "return" to the top flight. The Rangers Football Club plc, the former operating company, went into administration in February, 2012, after a £9 million PAYE and VAT debt was amassed to the taxman under Craig Whyte's ownership. The oldco renamed RFC 2012 plc is now being liquidated. http://m.eveningtimes.co.uk/news/14493731.BBC_dismisses_campaign_to_have_Rangers_described_as_a__new_club_/
  10. The greatest sums it up nicely. "I'm a fighter. I believe in the eye-for-an-eye business. I'm no cheek turner. I got no respect for a man who won't hit back. You kill my dog, you better hide your cat" Muhammad Ali, The Greatest My Own Story
  11. Many of us were brought up to expect and desire Rangers to win every game,I won't be changing that for anyone or anything. Rangers are second to none.
  12. That's 4 alarm bells now,the team has no spine, today just confirms we require a keeper ch and a big strong cf plus a midfielder who isn't scared to mix it. The cup final will take care of itself,it now has to.
  13. 3 games 3 wake up calls what's the excuses from the play station managers for this debacle, ever thought we may not be as good as many think we are,£5 million nowhere near enough. Yes even after all these years Bobby Shearer and the great captains before him were right and still are.
  14. Pointless excercise,no one is going to be putting in tackles or exerting themselves in a closed doors bounce game before a cup final.
