Any chance the club would let you be inside and outside with collection buckets on the match day. Perhaps rmers could give up time to help with the collection

The point I was trying to make, not very successfully it seems, is that this is possibly only one fund-raising effort. I thought maybe other appeals had raised funds too.
Hat's off to Everton, that's an amazing gesture. I emailed the Club asking them to read Mark's article and I am still waiting for a reply.

Sorry guys not been on for a bit had some personal issues to try and sort out. It takes its toll on us both if you know where I a coming from. Joshua has been in hospital this week with a cold and a bit of a chest infection but is doing ok. Jumping around and not a care in the world lol. Just managed to get the last of his med records sorted and into the computer so I will be sending it all over to America hopefully by the end of the week I will sign in later on as a work just now. WATP. Thank you all again.

It would be great and agree with what you say but the amount of money needed means IMO that we need a wealthy person to make a big donation to make this happen. I hoped the Sun article might get that kind of response but it does not seem to have been printed so far.
Hopefully @mark adair will update us before long.

I posted on the Forum today for the first time as a bet. Since it was an OF game part of the bet was to post without going through the New Members section. I had to last at least an hour and since I stayed for 2+hours I am £?? better off. At least I was until I decided to honour my promise to donate to the link you provided earlier.
Sounds like a lot of good work going on behind the scenes.

    Meet Joshua Burns Adair...
Born with a rare genetic disorder (Jeunes Thoracic Dystrophy Syndrome, a disorder which stops an unborn baby's ribcage from growing, meaning the lungs and heart etc have nowhere to grow into.  You can imagine how terminally serious that would be.  Few affected by it survive birth, even fewer survive infancy and only a handful reach 5 years old.)

Against the odds, and with the aid of a lot of specialist care from Great Ormond Street's Finest (including operations every year or so to expand his ribcage) he'll be five next month...

Sadly, Great Ormond Street Hospital have told him that there's not much more they can do, down to NHS budgetary restraints etc, and he shouldn't expect more than a couple of years at most.
    Bummer, eh?
There is however, a centre of excellence on this type of disorder, in Seattle Hospital, which could probably extend that prognosis considerably, maybe even in to his teens. That might not sound like much, but compared to the other option, it's a lifetime!
But as you all know, going to America for specialist treatment is never cheap.
So his Dad is trying to raise some money to pay for this...
    https://www.gofundme.com/joshuaburnsadair#
And he asked for a bit of support on this forum (and also on followfollow)...
    http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?/topic/295124-my-wee-teddy-bear/&page=1
It's a lot of money, and more than we could possibly raise on here.
But at the very least, we can make a start on it, and give his webpage a bit of respectability...

Quite a few Fund Members made donations, so with that in mind, The Fund has also made a donation of £100 towards it.  As far as I can see, this is Rangers Youth Development, and so qualifies for a Fund Award.
I would encourage anyone who hasn't already, to consider making a donation (big or small) towards this young Bear's bright future.
But more importantly, to try to raise awareness in any small way you can (retweets, facebooks, likes, mentioning it to your RSC, mentioning it to your work's charity rep, tweeting Jim Hannah (that might be a good avenue to try!) - anything you can do to spread the message beyond this small online community would be a big help.

    Cost: £100
