I've said yes. It's a gamble but every transfer is. Rather try someone this time that's showing he can already score goals in our league and hit the ground running.
-
Shankland at least has showing he can score goals on this league consistently. He'll probably end up scoring more league goals this season then Dessers and Lammers combined.

Because beale is an idiot. Supposedly it was because colak didn’t fit his system whatever that was supposed to be.

It's more than justified now mate. These players have continually bottled it under pressure. When it's a must win situation they crumble. We need to rip this squad apart. This means serial failures like tav and Goldson have to go. I just hope Clement sees it and doesn't fall into the same trap the previous managers did believing in these guys.

Breath of fresh air that performance. High pressing showing a lot of more intensity. Hopefully that's a sign of things to come. -

Nope. Can only update after the group stages if through. Another beale fuck up leaving Borna as the only LB. -

Definitely comes across as a manager that's not going to take any shit. Something we've needed for some time. He clearly recognises their are issues what he needs to do now is show he can fix them and deliver on the pitch. -
I agree we need a new captain and would be looking to move tav and the rest of the Gerrard era players on. Time is up there. The only issue is don't really see anyone in the current team I'd say is a standout for the Captaincy. Manager will hopefully see someone that stands out.

Honestly think the aim should be to get rid of the longer term players. We've got guys in this squad that have routinely failed under 3 different managers. We know the script as well they'll suddenly turn up again to impress Clement but go missing when it come down to the pressure games. We really need a fresh break from the 55/Gerrard era players. -

Yep it needs to be the staff he thinks can best help him make us successful. He might very well decide he needs a coach with a bit of Scottish football experience but it's got to be his choice. -

Any manager coming in is facing those same issues. That's the situation we've been left in by Beale. That doesn't make Clement a bad appointment. One of the things that stands out when looking at his previous work is an ability to go in and get improved results immediately. Something we need badly. The hope is with an experienced manager at the helm now Clement can implement a clear structure of play to get better from what we have. There clearly wasn't one under beale Longer term I think he needs to rid himself of the Gerrard/55 era. Guys like Goldson, Tav, Barasic etc the 2nd best mentality is too ingrained. -

Exciting appointment for us. Experienced manager with title wins already under his belt. Reading he's also good at going in and getting results quickly. Welcome to the famous Mr Clement
