The wee blue thumbs up isn't just for show

It doesn't give me the option mate.  It appears when other people like a post but even on posts with likes, it doesn't let me like it.  It's like I'm in a constant state of ambivalence!

  2. This flashing of red cards will now have to stop.  Good to have it rescinded but a fucking almighty slap in the face to have it done after it's undoubtedly cost us 2 points (again).  I think with the gravitas and publicity SG now brings to the game here, refs will be getting seriously stern warnings of jumping into decisions like Sunday and thus making the game look even more foolish, and potentially corrupt, than it already is...  SG played a blinder with his comments after the Dons game.

  3. Re Ejaria and Kent, I also wonder if it’s something to do, in part, with this business of clubs being fined by Liverpool if their loan players aren’t played for a certain number of games or minutes?

Either way, I think unfortunately we’re going to see a lot more of both, regardless of whether they’re actually ready/able to step up for us.

  4. Jury's still very much out on both and as others have mentioned, they're guilty of needlessly losing possession at crucial times (in fairness, Coulibaly, Tav, Candeias and Flanagan were too).  But in Ejaria's case, he's trying to be way too clever instead of keeping it simple which in knock-out games, is pretty infuriating and too dangerous at this stage.  But undoubtedly a good performance overall, especially as the game was played at a much quicker pace than anything we've had so far this season.  Would definitely bring in Arfield and Murphy in place of those 2 for Sunday though.

  5. Bates and Martin all the way. And much like the Hearts game, before which some were writing Martin off, I reckon he’ll step up again.

Just don’t think Alves is up to the speed of the game here. I’d be worried that he’s a disaster waiting to happen in the Old Firm game

  6. Think people are jumping the gun a little. Not a brilliant performance by him, or many of the players, but you could see how the whole team failed to get to grips with the pitch for the first 10-15mins, none more so than in defence and midfield, where the damage was done/the issue amplified.

For me, much of that uncertainty in the surface continued for many of them throughout the game (esp Tav, Goss and Docherty). Fair play to Murty and the team for not making an issue of it though, as Brenda did at Killie, but it clearly isn’t fit for purpose/top level football and was an issue.

I’d expect him to step up big time against Hearts and have a feeling he will.

  7. An absolute imposter of a football manager.  His footballing ideals are admirable but are totally at odds with the tactical structures, stability and pragmatism required to succeed at all but the very wealthy handful of clubs in world football.  He has some cheek raising his head above the parapet, especially so soon after being given the boot by two clubs.  He has been found out and he knows it.
